ACA website taking care of business...

well, I signed up for my new policy today with Humana......

good news: deductible went from $5000 to $3650......max out of pocket went from $10k to $3650
bad news: have to find a new doctor who's "in network".....premiums went from $684 to $1134

still better than BC/BS's best offer which was $946 for $6500 deductible and $12k out of pocket and Priority had nothing less than a $12k deductible and the premiums were $1200+ a month.....
those were my only three choices.....

one thing for sure....starting next year, if I see some kid drinking soda with sugar in it I'm going to slap it out of his hand and tell him "if you expect me to pay your dental insurance, take better care of your teeth!".........

Wow, set the goal really low and you can convince almost anybody that it is doing "for the most part" well... Compared with almost any site on the internet though it sucks wind like a turbo vacuum.

One must take a serious look at the security before trusting that site with their information.

One satisfied customer.....good....

You realize that in 3 months of paying the higher premium you'll have made that lower deductible irrelevant and will be losing money thereafter....assuming you don't need
to see a doctor, that money is gone.
and in 14 months you'll have wiped out that max. out of pocket savings.....and that money is gone for good too....enjoy your Obamacare....

actually, I have hit the deductible every year for several years when it was at $5k.....my incentive is the max copay equal to the deductible...I am paying $180 a month more in premiums ($2160 which when added to my $3650 deductible is still less than the $6500 deductible of the next cheapest policy) but saving up to $8350 in out of pocket......(which resets every twelve months, so what happens over 14 months is meaningless)

beyond that, who says I'm satisfied.....I didn't get to keep my doctor and my premiums doubled.....neither of which would have happened if it weren't for Obummercare......
