Coal miners don't seem discontented with the fact that the coal boom is over, likely never to return. Instead, candidate Trump lying to them that Trump would restore their jobs, their industry.

Republican tax payers don't seem discontented that the long promised "repeal & replace" is another broken Republican promise.

And Trump's often repeated campaign promise that a) Trump would build a wall, and b) Mexico would pay for it, yet another broken Republican promise.

Apparently Republicans aren't too particular about results, as long as the lies their told are extraordinary. It seems the Democrats have a more rational, more predictable standard.
 
Sometimes the world believes the USA has gone fascist, sometimes totally mad. Those of us who still admire the country have to keep explaining that what is wrong is not the majority of Americans but a ludicrous electoral system. Do please get it fixed!

At first, I thought Trump had said something to her...ordered her to "stand down" or something. But I could hear nothing coming from him other than the normal bullying that Acosta was not going to take.

He is the president...NOT OUR FUCKING KING.

He answers to the press...not the other way around. For Hitler...it was the other way around. For Stalin...it was the other way around. For Saddam Hussein it was the other way around.

Presidents have gone to war with the press since the first days of our nation. John Adams signed into law the 1798 Sedition Act which made publishing anything critical of the government illegal.
Kennedy shut off access to foreign policy.
Eisenhower restricted media access to name a few.
