Have you ever seen press conferences before:"? This is the only shot reporters have to get the facts and truth out. Yelling out questions is how it is done. This was not new.
Trump does not want a free press. He has made that clear. That makes this different. Trump wants to change the country in basic and fundamental ways. His version is more like Fascism.
Trump makes the differences personal. He calls black women reporters names insulting them.

One of the Presidents Bush (elder iirc) at his first press conference as president experienced the initial barrage, the press corp free-for-all.
And the president asked:
How do [ladies and gentlemen of the press] want it? Do you want law of the jungle, or would you prefer a more orderly process of being called on one at a time?
At this particular news conference, Trump pointed to the reporters being recognized. In Major Garrett's case Trump pointed & said: "Go ahead."

Acoster was grandstanding and improperly physically interfering with a WH worker's job. The job of the press has always been to ask their questions and sit down. It's a pretty simple job description. When he is on CNN his job is to opine to his heart's content.

The present electoral system would work if the number of house seats was properly allocated.
If Montana, Wyoming, and the two Dakotas get one each, California should have a hell of a lot more than 55.

I disagree about the quality of Americans.
We have far too many seriously deficient ones, and very few of them are straight blue-voting Democrats.

As much as i do not want that to be the case...

...I suspect it is.

Trump is acting so like a dictator wanna-be that it WOULD take a brain dead person not to recognize it. But these guys keep coming up with rationalizations for what is going on.

What would it take? Does he have to put on an armband with a swastika on it? Does he have to promote the fascist salute? Does he have to order American troops to do some marching in goose-step?

I do not know how to wake them up. I suspect they do not want to wake up for whatever reason.

And as I said before I don't watch trump's pressers, the sound of his voice is cringe-worthy and the extent of his lies is mind-numbing. If Slanders gets called out by reporters, too bad. She should be ashamed of herself for staying in a job where her duty is to spread trump's lies.
