Hero is too soft a word to describe those whose actions meant so much to so many on that terrible occasion.

3 MEN (see that darla?) took actions necessary to save the lives of a loved one. Imagine if they had their own weapon, they could have lived another day with those loved ones and stopped countless others from being injured or killed.

I'll agree with that. They should be getting some sort of official commendations as well.
