Why would DD need to advertise? The NRA is the best advertisement for the gun industry. Their fear mongering has done wonders for the industry for the last 5 years.
Defend that comment Damo. Show me proof that this ad was banned. The fact that the networks did not pick it up is not the same as banning.
Is "freedom" more, less, or just as socially-constructed as "race" "God" or "Orientalism"?
Or any more real!
This is just more fear-mongering bullshit to sell more guns to more paranoid Americans.
More Guns = More Gun Deaths.
Statistically Mister Awesome is more likely to shoot his wife or his baby than an intruder when he finally acquires that so-called saving grace, because guns don't kill people stupid people with guns kill people!
And the baby is more likely to kill the neighbor kid at 3-4-5-6-7 or any age if there is an assault rifle or a pistol or some other weapon in the house than they are if there is no weapon in the house.
But that is just common sense and historical experience.
Those two concepts are nearly meaningless when you start talking about the equally meaningless concept of Freedom, Freedom, Freedom.
Give it your best shot!

It may be that the networks just didn't want to run an add geared towards delusionally paranoid gun nuts during a premiere family oriented sporting event. I see no difference with this than their dropping an ad from the Kitty Kat Ranch.
Anyone watch Diane Sawyers' propaganda piece Friday evening?
Never watch her; I don't like watching programming that erodes one's IQ.
I'm amused by the presumption that the NRA is engaged in fear mongering versus the anti-gun gun ban community.
No one can fear monger better than leftist Progressive Liberals when it comes to guns, healthcare and politics.

What proof do you have that this was banned? This ad was banned from the Superb Owl also.
95 percent of gun murders are committed by family and friends.
