That poor dog! And as the article suggested, the owners probably thought that they were showing love by overfeeding him. I went by the package directions for a while, but have learned (and they also teach this in our dog club) that the recommended quantities are waaaay overstated! Also for treats I use the smallest ones I can find; the training treats I use most often are 3 calories each and my guys love them.
