Afg. "insider attacks" kill 2 more US - 8 since last Thursday

An officer in the Afghan Local Police shot and killed two Americans in the western province of Farah during a training exercise on an Afghan base, according to Abdul Rahman, a spokesman for the provincial governor.

U.S. military officials confirmed the two deaths. The assassin was shot and killed, according to a statement.

The attack occurred hours after Taliban leader Mohammad Omar issued a statement boasting of insurgents’ ability to infiltrate the Afghan security forces — a tactic that he said limits the number of civilian casualties.

Later Friday, an Afghan soldier turned his weapon against foreign troops in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan, according to military officials. That attack left three NATO troops wounded.

The so-called “insider attacks” have occurred sporadically in Afghanistan for years, but they have risen sharply in the past six months — and particularly in the past 10 days. Eight U.S. service members have been killed by employees of the Afghan security forces since last Thursday. A total of 39 have been killed in such attacks since the beginning of the year.

The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan released a statement Friday deriding Omar’s claims.

From whence does the knucklehead thought come from that we can invade a country, kill its citizens, and not expect that they won't want to kill you? How stupid is that?

Ya. I was gonna comment about that; the irony of the HUGE OUTRAGE over Bush wars, but silent as a mouse the night before Christmas by Obama supporters is not lost on me.

1. Partisanship -it kills the minds ability for critical thought.
2. Election time -we can't discuss anything serious, it took Ryan to at least change the tone to SOMETHING, besides "tax returns", and "you didn't build that" inanities.
3. "we're not staying" ( but yes we ARE)

None of this is actually surprising -this from a naton of MORONS who's big ideas include "we got bin Laden", and "we got Gaddafi" .

I was trying to explain the Rampage thru Libya , by US/ NATO "sock puppets" to one of my lib friends.
I started to get the glazed over eyeball look, so i dropped it.

Also the MS media is dumb as a post -WTF ever happened to investigative reporting??

well one would think some coverage of this would be on "da newz" - i think we're about 1x day US/NATO deaths in Afganistan, so far this year.
That's huge -the situation is clearly deteriorating, the country is never going to be under anything but Taliban rule ( their country-their choice).

Yet we pump $B's into Paki/per annum, and we also spend a shit load of blood and treasure to "create" the Agfan Natonal Army/Police.
Which are killing us for our efforts.

You can't tell me this is not an important issue, every once in awhile it comes up, ppl say "my goodness that's awful" then go right back into Silly Campaign Shit. (SCS)

WTF is wrong with this country? If terrorists were killing 1 american a day - then we'd hear howls of "gotta get them before they kill anymore"
