AG James: 'Trumps must comply with our lawful subpoenas'

Today, a judge will hear arguments on whether Donald Trump should have to comply with subpoenas about his business affairs in an ongoing New York investigation.

The office of New York attorney general Letitia James issued the subpoenas in December after an investigation found that Trump’s business had used “fraudulent or misleading” valuations of assets to get benefits such as tax breaks and loans, reported the Associated Press.

James also issued subpoenas for Trump’s two oldest children, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr, who both worked as executives at one point for Trump Organization.

In a court filing this week, James included a letter from Trump’s longtime accounting firm advising him to no longer rely on years of financial statements it prepared based on his company’s valuations, given the questions about their accuracy.

Last summer, spurred by evidence uncovered in James’ civil investigation, the Manhattan district attorney’s office charged Weisselberg and the Trump Organization with tax fraud, alleging he collected more than $1.7 million in off-the-books compensation. Weisselberg and the company have pleaded not guilty.

As usual my dear, your post is a total lie.
 
As a reminder I said over a year ago that prosecutors will have no trouble twisting the law enough to come up with charges for Trump. I believe that they are taking their time because charging him closer to the election they think will make it harder for Republicans to get organized for the elections....timing is very important when it comes to demoralizing the opposition.

This is all about politics...the law really is that shit now.

And yes, the Constitution is dead already.

1.6 million were caught entering the USA illegally. Two thirds of them were sent home immediately. Half the remainder were sent home within 30 days. You are looking at a number about one tenth of your claim.

There are about 50 million people living in America, who were not born here. Many are American citizens born abroad (to American parents). Others are naturalized American citizens. Many of the rest are legal residence, or even legal visitors. Saying they are all illegal aliens is just nonsense.

There were 47 million Americans without health insurance, but that number has almost been cut in half. We could reduce it more, if Obamacare was more applied, but cutting it in half is very good. Taking away health insurance from anyone born abroad would not help the matter. Taking away health insurance from an American born on a military base in Germany does not mean that an unemployed person in West Virginia magically gets health insurance. The world does not work that way.
