get your head out of your ass jarod. The idea that politics or running our country has always been about some underlying goodness or morality is a lie. A myth. Every president ever up for re-election has literally killed people. We drop bombs and blow arms off of little kids, innocent people, and that doesn't stop us from electing our leaders. We accept it. We realize that in the grand scheme of things, our leaders kill, maim, manipulate, lie and destroy. We let them do these things because at the end of the day, we all want our taxes to go up or down by 5%. Or because we disagree on whether or not we should have tarrifs on imports.

There is nothing altruistic or noble or pure about politics. It's a thunderdome zero sum game where only the ruthless survive.

But we also vote based upon who we kill, where, how often....
