control of the house is secondary to me to getting the pervert hypocrites out of there. thsi guy was the co chair of a group overseeing child abuse and such....that is just amazing and sickening , especially if some others in congress knew of his mental illness.Works for me! that's the response I've been expecting.
Damo is a reasonable guy in spite of leaning right.
I think he was told by his lawyer to go there in an attempt to mitigate the sentencing. Like a DUI Arrest, etc. Anticipate this requirement and do it beforehand.
That's my point. I think that is what is happening here...We do that, not with DUI, because the sentencing is pretty standard unless you hurt someone or its like your 3rd or 4th...
But with other crimes, where you know you will eventually be pleaing guilty it is often a good idea to go into treatment, then go in front of the judge telling her/him your client is addressing the problem... is getting his/her life together and it would only make things worse to put him/her in jail.
Usually you can get "day for day" credit for time spent in a drug treatment facility.
Is it just me or do public figures tend over-use alcholism as a crutch to patch up their PR images just to soften the fall from grace. I'm starting to not even believe they have alchohol problems; drug rehad and pedo rehab wouldn't sit well with the masses.
