In the 60s the Vatican funded a big project headed by a tallanted group of theologians, and ultimately developed the New American Bible. When finished, the Vatican decided they still didn't like this new edition much, and not only kept the Douay-Rheims version as the authorized text, but never officially certified the NAB. Most Americans do not use the Douay version, though, so I assume if I can use the NAB, then DS can use the King James Bible (although it blows)... :cof1:

I own several versions, and my favorite is the NAB. I consider the KJV, like Britain itself, to be somewhat "stuffy". The Bible.com website search uses the KJV as a default.
