Let me just tell you where a majority of this money is actually going.

DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW HOW MANY VETERANS ARE NOW DRAWING MILITARY RETIREMENT? MANY MILLIONS THAT IS HOW MANY. And for just one example, a retired 4 Star General draws about a quarter of a million dollars annual for the rest of his life- and then his wife will draw it for the rest of her life.

I am not saying this is right or wrong- BUT YOU SHOULD AT LEAST KNOW THAT IT IS MONEY ALREADY PROMISED.

THE MILITARY PIECE OF THE BUDGET PIE IS ALWAYS THE LARGEST SLICE. AND MILITARY RETIREMENT BENEFITS ARE A LARGE PART OF THAT PIECE OF PIE!

JUST SO YOU WILL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE HERE ARGUING ABOUT TODAY FOLKS!

Yet nothing from you when it comes to the amount of spending on social welfare handouts given to those that have to offer absolutely nothing to get them. Do you know how many freeloaders are drawing handouts? Many millions that do nothing but refuse to provide for themselves.

The DOD always hands congress a request for Military pay and Retirement Benefits pay. Retirement benefits usually are about 1/4th of the overall DOD annual budget. Active pay is about the same.

Retired Veterans can draw their SS benefits on top of their Military retirement benefits.

You do realize those drawing SS benefits had to meet the qualifications to do so just like anyone else drawing them. Maybe you don't.

Do you like Canned Chile? Well, it has animal hair in it, and a certain amount of animal hair in it is approved by the Federal Food and Drug Administration. NOT EVERYTHING IS 100% PURE! Not even welfare!

I'm not sure which would be harder- trying to keep all hair out of Canned Chile or all the freeloaders out of the Welfare system!

It may not be what it was designed to do but it's what such programs have become. A freeloader is someone that takes advantage of a system without providing anything in return. What do those getting social welfare provide the system?

That is a positive way of looking at things. Those that would be freeloaders should do without.

I don't eat canned items. My garden is big enough to provide what I need for me/my family with a lot going to neighbors and friends. The chickens where I get my eggs provide enough for me/my family with a lot going to friends and neighbors.
