Let me tell you some facts... then you tell me if, in your eyes, I am married.
My wife and I got a marriage lisence from the State of Florida. Then we took an oath in front of the clerk of court. We recorded the certificate with the clerk of court. We did not tell anyone. We did this because we were going to get married soon anyway and I needed health insurance via her work at that time.
Then three months later we had a wedding, guests and a man (nopt a religous man) stood up and we took vows that we wrote ourselves, in front of him and all of our guests. We had grooms men and bridesmades, the whole 9 yards. We had a reception with "the first dance" and were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Jarod. We did not do any paperwork at this time.
No religen involved at all.....
Are we married?
