Perhaps if the Religious Right would stop politicizing Religion, most true believers would start attending church again.
I think a lot of people stopped going to church when the Republican Party started using their churches as echo chambers for their rhetoric and bully pulpits.
Many people were uncomfortable with that, as that created a divide and people stopped attending because they felt like they were being controlled.
Why go to church when people from your own church are calling you a murderer just because you believe in a Woman's Choice?
Why go to church when your pastor gets up and uses his pulpit as a bully pulpit and tells you to vote for Donald Trump.
Why go to church and throw money in the plate, only to find out your church is using your offering to help Donald Trump get elected?
