America is on the brink

With their midterm election three weeks away and their ignorant electorate on the verge of turning them out, desperate American legislators think they have discovered a way to save their careers by China bashing.

Incumbent Democrats and Republicans alike have begun to criticize China to distract their fickle constituents, who unrealistically demand benefits, comfort and ease without the payment of taxes or any personal sacrifice.

In their childish plot, China is responsible for almost every economic problem their debtor country is facing, and China is to blame for huge job losses which are reaaly due to American ineptitude.

29 candidates have suggested that their opponents have been sympathetic to China.

Democrats accused their Republican challengers of allowing American enterprises to outsource jobs to China.

The Republicans blame Democrats for supporting a bill that allegedly sends jobs to China.

The blame is a shoddy tactic to get votes, using China as a scapegoat for the failure of the greed-based American economy.

It is always useful to accuse an opponent of being disloyal to his nation.

Since China is more powerful than the United States now, the ignorant and ill-educated American populace feels angry and fearful.

Thus, it becomes very useful for failed leaders to link an opponent with China to delude the infantile and hypocritical American public, who tout democracy yet fail to vote in most cases owing to their deeeply ingrained sloth.

Politicians trying to obtain votes dare not tell the angry American people that they must make sacrifices to make progress or that times will be difficult.

They rather seek to blame their opponents for the problems their people confront.

China fits into that strategy because China is strong in traits America lacks, and the voters fear China because of our superior culture.

However, most people in the world do not believe that China is the cause of the economic distress in the United States.

The long-term decline that the United States is in is mainly due to its own faults, and many have anticipated it.

For the lazy and ill-educated Americans, blaming China is easier than trying to restructure the U.S. economy for long-term sustainable growth.

The failure of American so-called democray is delicious to observe.

It's not going to work for you. Sorry!

The China thing, I mean. It's not going to work at this point, to try and persuade the electorate by claiming all politicians are scum and trying to blame China for their problems. No one is listening to you people anymore, it doesn't matter what desperate bleats come from the sheep of the Democrat party, the slaughter is all set for November 2.

I would like to take this opportunity to respond to one thing you said: "...their fickle constituents, who unrealistically demand benefits, comfort and ease without the payment of taxes or any personal sacrifice."

I just want to let you know, I am not fickle, and neither are most conservatives. We don't expect unrealistic benefits, comforts, or ease, from the Federal government. We expect them to do what we tell them to do and stop spending our goddamn money! We don't want new programs to give us shit we can't afford, we don't need bailing out, we don't need stimulating, we don't need anything but independence and our Constitutional rights to be free from government control.

Liberals are the ones who have unrealistic expectations of comforts and ease, benefits that are unaffordable and unattainable in the current economic situation. Perhaps they are fickle enough to not show up and vote, I don't know... If I were a liberal, I would be too ashamed to show my pathetic face in public to be honest, so I am probably not a good one to say if they are too fickle to vote. But Conservatives certainly aren't going to be ashamed or afraid to vote, and it really doesn't matter what you have to say at this point. The piper will be paid.. Nov. 2.

So really, the best thing you can do, instead of trying to find new angles, is to just throw up a few more "racist teabagger" threads, denigrate the right as bible-thumping knuckledraggers and mouthbreathers, and continue the 'Wheel of Smear' game with noted personalities from the right. You don't have another choice at this point, you've wasted all the time you could have been talking about trade with China and substantive issues like that. Debate time is over... it's fat lady singing time!

The anti-china angle will work if they stick with it.

People on the left and right are noting that our relationship with china only benefits china.

Anti- china is the best message a politician could use.

Did you hear Tom Brokaw's advice to college grads?

(Exceprt) You know the US economy is in bad shape when even a great patriot like Tom Brokaw is telling young people to think about finding work in the Middle East or Asia. Interviewed Friday on BlogTalkRadio, the former "NBC Nightly News" anchor doled out advice to college grads entering today's job market. "I wouldn't be looking just within our borders for opportunities. I'd be looking to see what the chances are of getting a job in the Middle East, for example. Or in India. Or in China," Brokaw -- author of the 1998 best-seller "The Greatest Generation" -- told host Heather Taylor: "I've talked to a number of very senior American executives who -- so much of their work now is offshore -- say one of the things they need are people who are willing to pack up and go there and become middle managers." (End)

A commentator on CNN suggests students would be wise to learn basic Mandarin.

Hey, maybe we could start a thread here and each day a poster submits a sentence and the translation in Mandarin. By this time next year we'll know 365 sentences in Mandarin! WOW!

Would you be interested in "moderating" the thread, Dixie?

Wrong. By this time next year we would all have forgotten 364 sentences in Mandarin!! except, that is, for some who would have said 'F*** that!' after the first sentence.

Property prices in 70 major Chinese cities rose 9.1 percent year on year in September.

Real estate investment continued to expand in the first three quarters, with the total standing at 3.4 trillion yuan (511.4 billion U.S. dollars), up 36.4 percent from the same period in 2009.

To curb excessive rises in housing prices, the central government introduced a raft of policies in April, including higher down payments and an end to mortgage discounts.

It also encouraged local governments to build more affordable housing to increase the supply of housing for low-income people.

On Sept. 29, the government announced further measures to check the continuous rise in property prices, including by banning loans for third home purchases and instituting a 50 percent down payment requirement for second-home purchases and a 30 percent down payment for all first-home purchases.

How is your property market in the USA?

Compare the wisdom of China's policies with your own foolishness, Americans.

China cares for the future, whereas USA only is concerned with the "quick buck" and "fast food", etc.

Your downfall is assured by your own folly and arrogance.

It is not so much the 'quick buck' but more a rather childish attitude that demands 'jam today' and an inability by many to recognise their global position.
One of China's main advantages is that it is not a slave to 4 yearly elections and can plan and implement policies without regard for time.
