Can anyone explain what that is? We have different principles and different culture, therefore a different way of life.

The American way of life has traditionally been, individualism, pragmatism, and dynamic.

That is, Americans act as individuals in their own best interest, are healthy skeptics about anyone pushing heavy handed controls on them while readily accepting obvious societal goods. At the same time, Americans are open to change that betters their lives.

What Americans don't want, and what isn't American, is heavy handed government control over their lives, being forced to accept, act, and believe things handed down from a central authority, and being forced to fork over their hard-earned wealth to anyone by force of government.

Americans are traditionally very generous and philanthropic, unlike say Europeans who assume government will provide. Americans are far more self-reliant and open to cultural differences so long as these move towards a single view that adopts the best of those cultures tossing aside what doesn't work. That's a major reason Americans have resisted Socialism and a strong central government for so long--they don't fucking work!

Ah Yes, Old America.....Dead America.

Freedom is number one in an American way of life. Equality of opportunity would sit side by side with that.
It sounds good in theory but not practiced in the patriot act or bank bailouts. We live in a police state that steals from people with no power.

And dictates to those with no power how they must live, what we are allowed to say, and what we are supposed to think according to power.

Is that what we have or are you wanting a return to 1950?

We allowed American to become heavy handed government with control over our lives.

Instead you “make Obama a one term president”

By being a grim reaper instead of working with who the people chose to make the nation better

When you lose an election you lie about all the facts and work to destroy the president with lies and keep what the people voted for from happening

You are the problem

I long ago decided to fight for civilization till last breath.

In the short term this is yet another of the lost causes that I have signed up for.
