There was a time in America before Food Stamps, and I hope they cancel the program now and go back to the days when people had to work or go hungry.

No dumb dumb, he was not. Bill the Butcher was based upon the real life Bloody Bill Poole. He was a hell of a street fighter back in his day who administered many a beat down.
