America's "OOPS!" military

We are not told much, an important thing to notice.

And we get what is almost certainly another BullShit story about bad fuel.

Anyway....America's conventional military is in a bad way....this insistence to go to direct war with Russia and China will graduate to nuclear war rapidly.....that and terrorism is about all the Imperial Empire has.

Buckle Up.

This is not remotely the same quality military we had in the early 90's....and that military had serious problems.

Breaking news: Two more US Navy aircraft fell off aircraft carriers into the South China Sea yesterday, US Navy command said. One was a Sea Hawk helicopter and the other an F18 fighter jet. Both tumbled into the ocean in separate accidents just 30 minutes apart on Sunday mid-afternoon local times. This follows incidents earlier this year in which another two F18 jets fell into the water—that was in May.These massively expensive instruments of war are poised in East Asia to intimidate China—but are arguably doing the opposite.A single F18 jetfighter costs 60 million US dollars. While crew members are safely recovered in most cases, the loss of equipment will run into hundreds of millions of dollars, and the loss of reputation is arguably even worse.

Not a problem. Trump will get a donor to buy a couple more.

Another nothing burger. Military service has always been hazardous, yet the overall trend is down for mishaps by year.

It's had 11 so far this year, which is cause for concern, but then it's been a very active year re Asia and the Middle East, so not unusual nor even the worst. Crew shortages are getting critical; the NAvy will take 17 vessels out of service by next year, so you Red Chinese fans can have a happy dance or two.

Trump doesn't handle maintenance and training oversight, despite what the idiot dork who posted the OP hopes to claim.

The rates started going up under Biden's watch, so most of these can be laid at his feet going by Democrat 'standards' of cliams.

REd China conquering Asia and setting up big slave colonies just gives you massive woodies, don't it?

This carrier is on its way back from its last deployment.....broken Give A Shit is the immediate suspicion.
Every carrier WestPac I did had the air wing worn out materially by the time we headed home. The planes have been flying a lot for months and the air wing crew is worn out. They do 12-to-16-hour days for flight ops for months on end, sometimes seven days a week. The ship has a lot of stuff that needs more maintenance than the crew can carry out on their own.

On one of those we swapped out one of our A-7 squadron's planes with a squadron on the Midway going to the IO as we were headed back to the US. That squadron had just 4 flying aircraft (out of 16) after the swap and we ended up losing one of those because of a maintenance issue. That happens.

I'm disputing taking anything the REd Chinese put out as valid or worth considering. Are you saying it is 'truthful'? lol
I am saying that after well more than a decade of trying to make EM cats work we have failed, to the point that Trump just ordered that the carriers currently being built use steam....and so if the Chinese have a well functioning system then they beat us again.

Because they said so?

Don't need catapults any more. Drones are the coming thing, much lighter and smaller. Catapults are ancient tech. And, they probably stole their designs from the U.S.

We are seeing a purge of people in the US military that are competent, with them being replaced by people who look the part, and tow the party line. Of course there will be problems.

Indeed.
