IM sure you have all herd about the North American Transit highway they are building from Mexico to Canada.. as well as the deep see ports China is building in Mexico that will feed this highway.

So here is some more Reading for you about the Amero.

This is nothing new...they along with Arizona and California were fighting this back in the seventees...'a never ending story'
 
Umm the tax dollars used to purchase a highway right of way has to go into the properly connnected political pockets BB.
They must have this road routed wrong on the plans.
 
When the leading proponent of this conspiratorial crap is Jermoe Corsi, who you may remember from such smear campaigns as the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, folks would be well-advised to take it with a grain of salt.

Basically, some super-wonky policy dorks in the US, Mexico and Canada put together a paper for the Council on Foreign Relations and suddenly there is a shadowy conspiracy of "elites" acting as puppet-masters controlling the future of all of North America. Color me not convinced.

My guess is that this is all an elaborate ruse to keep people from sanely talking about important issues like global trade policy and immigration.
 
Dung read into it a little more. do some searching. think ud be surprised. spare the crude remark. you dont have to do anything if u dont want.

There is no one great conspiracy, but numerous smaller ones all out for the same goal. To make as much money as they can regardless of the impact on the people of the country of the United States of America.

Chap - I read the Corsi piece about it. That's all I need, really. There is no there there. People come up with ideas like this all the time, that doesn't mean that the ideas are a) good ones or b) going to actually be taken seriously by people in a position of power.

If you could do so much as name a single person currently in the government that supports even the idea of the Amero of the super-highway thing I'd maybe spend a little more time looking to the substance of it all.

As it stands now we have a couple of super-wonky policy types that wrote a paper about the possibility of a North American Union. Papers like that are written all the time. There are thousands of them produced each year. You only need to get concerned about them when people that actually matter begin to take them seriously (see: People for a New American Century).

As it stands now, there isn't a single American politician that has any chance of winning any election anywhere in the country that agrees with the idea of the NAU, let alone the Amero.

By George, I think you're onto something there! :wink: Of course, the preponderance of myopic self-interest, without regard to any consequences beyond the immediate and the personal, will have a cumulative effect. We're just seeing the beginnings of those effects now.
