Amero - More information on the Currency Wars

I do...numbnuts.............

LOL, and you claim to understand politics ?

I served in Arizona during the first attempt by Mexico to push this crap...unlike you Mr.Country Bumpkin...with a shakey past...who buys into Communism et al for the sake of approval by Ms.Code Pink...akin to Lt Kerry are we(you)?...and yes I brought this idiot into this thread first...so I will accept full :readit: responsibility for it this time!

By George, I think you're onto something there! Of course, the preponderance of myopic self-interest, without regard to any consequences beyond the immediate and the personal, will have a cumulative effect. We're just seeing the beginnings of those effects now.

Yeah just the cumulative effects of a society promoting greed and selfishness.

But that puts the root cause of the problem on our individual backs
And no one wants to admit to that. Much more convenient to blame it on some great big conspiracy in the sky.

usged and company, most of which never saw a college campus much less an economics class don't know this.
Despite, job loss trade is a huge net plus for jobs.
But hey US-GED don't let me stop you from picketing at the buggywhip factory with your Bubba's in Kentucky.

It's both usc. There are great conspiratorial forces at work keeping us focused on the wrong things, and it is our individual responsibility to wake up and to encourage others to do the same. Going along with conspirators because "people deserve it" is just an excuse to be a coward.

the Euro was thought to be trash for years after it came into being.
We're struggling now with the moron borrowers and lenders, once that's straight our economy is lightyears ahead of there's and the dollar goes back up.
Now vs China is another story.

Chinas economy will surpass ours. The only way we can possible compete with them is if we had most of the Mexican population working for us in peasant type situation.

How can u compete with a powerhouse like china with such a massive population of people that are ok with living like peasants.

U think the American Dollar can stand up to the Euro? I personally think its unavoidable.
It could if the Fed Reserve was working to actually increase the value of the dollar. The value is artificially set by that group, they are clearly working towards a different goal than that of increasing the value of the dollar.

Chap, you'll be retired by the time they pass us if they ever do per capita anyway.
they can only grow at 11% for so long say a decade
Nice investment opportunity while it last.
We'll chugg along at 2 to 3 % with more and more going to the college grads thanks to the immagrant workers.:clink:

we will see. America needs another golden age. Perhaps the alternative energy front. We have the smarts and the resources to be cutting edge.

America still leads all economies in per capita by a 30% and will continue to.
We have the best capital markets and like you said smarts.

I agree, and I think Bush missed a HUGE chance to make it far more of a reality.

One of the first things I would have done is announced a priority towards non-carbon energy. Make it a "Get to the moon" type of challenge. Imagine being the supplier rather than just the user of the next generation of energy.

Man, of all the issues out there I think this is the greatest one and we have missed the boat.

Yeah their lights just came on and we have been bashed for years for ours burning "dim" .. Now theirs are burning the same way and it is just like EVERYONE just woke up....amazing...

by 2012 they will be pullling for Gore :D

All of us did not.....

Yes, we as a nation have. I assume you mean by that that those of us who voted for Bush are somehow in a different position than the rest of the nation but it just ain't so. No matter, we, as the United States of America have missed the boat (for now anyway) when it comes to being the leader in developing alternate energy.

Nope. My lights have been working just fine when it comes to the energy problem. Will never, ever, pull for Gore though. His way isn't the answer, IMO.
