"It wasn’t quite the shot heard around the world, but the sound of glass shattering at Democratic Party offices around the country has put the spotlight on former militiaman Mike Vanderboegh, who furiously called on followers last Friday to protest health care reform by breaking Democratic windows.

Vanderboegh posted his message on his blog, Sipsey Street Irregulars, calling for “all modern Sons of Liberty” to break the windows of local Democratic Party offices. Since that time, Democratic offices across the country have reported windows smashed in an apparent response to health care reform. Vanderboegh called health care reform backers “collectivists” and added that they “certainly do not hear the soft ‘snik-snik’ of cleaning rods being used on millions of rifle barrels in this country by people who have decided their backs are to the wall.”"

Is this Dixie's real name?

The Washington Post ran an article about this guy. He's a nutcase. Given his opposition to the government, this particular factoid made me laugh and laugh and laugh:

Vanderboegh said he once worked as a warehouse manager but now lives on government disability checks. He said he receives $1,300 a month because of his congestive heart failure, diabetes and hypertension.

Riiiiiight. Hates the government, loves the checks.

do you see any reason he shouldn't take his own money back from the thieves in office?

Vanderboegh said he once worked as a warehouse manager but now lives on government disability checks.

The dude is pulling down $1300 per month on government disability checks. The article makes it sound like he's been on disability for a while, and he's only in his mid-fifties. Fourth grade arithmetic would indicate that this guy is ultimately going to pull in more government cash, than he ever paid in on fica taxes.

Here's a tip: that's how insurance works. Some people are going to receive more benefits than they ever paid in, but since the insurance pool is so large it all balances out in the end.

So how do you feel about a Tea Bagger faux-militia man getting a monthly government pay check and pulling down more government money than he ever paid into FICA?

I think it's rightious first the con congresswoman bitching about seniors medicaid being cut. Now a GED con on the gov dole making me laugh. Priceless

Ahh Kristalnacht, don't like the dems, break their windows, don't like liberals, break their windows, Don't like the jews...

STY owned.

Fair enough. So you agree this teabagger is a hypocite, he's living on the government dole receiving government benefits far beyond what he ever paid in FICA taxes; and that his alleged "principles" on taxes are easily thrown under the bus by providing faux justification that he's committing an underhanded "revolutionary" act by going on the government dole.

Thanks for the honesty.

In other interesting tea bag developments:

A fifty-ish dude who has high blood pressure, diabetes, and a history of heart attacks probably became that way because of lifestyle choices

Is it possible that all these health problems are genetic? Yes. But it's far more likely that this fat ass spent his life sitting on the couch, watching bill o'reilly, while scarfing bags of pork rinds.

So much for personal responsibility, he went on the government dole most likely because of his own personal lifestyle choices. I personally won't begrudge a fat ass teabagger his government dole because of his addiction to pork rinds and bill o'reilly. But I sure as hell have heard a lot of message board teabaggers complain that people have to take responsibility for their own health.

Is there anything more hilarious than a pork rind-scarfing, out of shape teabagger, who lives on the government dole because of his self-induced poor health, while living in some Rambo-fantasy world and blogging about fighting the revolution? I think not.

As long as you pay your taxes. Feel free to use our roads. Don't want to pay your taxes? Well then stay off of them. As for the Hospitals. 80% of those Hospitals are publicly funded through our tax dollars. Don't want to pay your taxes? Then stay out of our tax supported hospitals. Go somewhere else you free loading mooch.
