And yet another opportunity to LEAD escapes Obama...

Sarah Palin just did everything you accuse the President of. Will you watch his speech tonight at the memorial service? I GUARANTEE President Obama will not 'try to manipulate the situation to the best of his advantage, and use the tragedy to further his political agenda, along with the political agenda of the liberal left.'...he will try to unite us, not divide us...

Sarah Palin defended herself against the deplorable and despicable allegations that she had anything to do with what happened in Arizona. To my knowledge, no one has BLAMED President Obama's "Bring a Gun" comment, so they are not in the same proverbial boat here! Palin is also NOT the President! It's not her place to lead and unite us, it IS the President's.

Yes, I think everyone will be watching the speech tonight, and I think he would be well advised to try and diffuse this assertion from the left, that this had to do with political rhetoric or tone. If he does as I think, he will simply reiterate the talking point of the past few days, that we need to "tone down the rhetoric" ...meaning, the RIGHT needs to tone it down, not the LEFT!

Now, I can be optimistic... I can hope that Obama will step up to the plate and deliver tonight... I can hope that he will unite us... But I can't realistically think that will happen, given Obama's nature, and the nature of the liberal left, and given the fact that the left is still under the delusion the right is somehow culpable here.

He is a leader. It's not the time for him to do a photo shoot after the death of six people. He doesn't have to grab the spotlight like someone else we know used to do.

Obama can not do anything about the circumstances so out of respect he stays in the background. That is a leader!

I see that various members of the right are calling upon Obama to 'bring people together and lead'. Good tactic guys.
Throw down the gaunlet than as he stoops to pick it up attack with an army of blood lust lunatics.
They dont want Obama to lead. They want him DEAD.

They are so fricken stupid they think they are smart.

Careful with the "inflammatory rhetoric" there Low... you wouldn't want to cause some nutbag to act out on your remarks, would you? Isn't that what you libtards are screaming about these days? Some psychotic nutjob might read your words and go shoot someone! Blood lust lunatics and death wishes... not a good way to "tone down the rhetoric" is it?

So you support a planned ambush of your president?

I have to say, after listening to his speech tonight, I was wrong. He was very eloquent with his remarks, and it was an inspiring and encouraging message he delivered. Now, we'll have to wait and see what his speeches reveal in the coming days, this may have been a temporary reprieve from blaming the right... much like Clinton did at OK City... the memorial was filled with 'unity' talk, and three days later, he was bashing Rush Limbaugh and holding him responsible... so we'll have to wait and see, but this speech in of itself, was very good. I give Obama credit for delivering what I thought he was incapable of delivering.

Now if the rest of the Loony Left will heed his message...

I also thought he made a good speech. Pity it was spoiled somewhat by the wannabee warm-up acts and the cheap behaviour of the audience..
