My neighbour is a very nice woman named Lorna, born in Jamaica, who works as a freelance in HR. Her laptop was still running Windows XP so I put on a copy of Windows 7 plus Libre Office for her before Xmas. She made some jerk chicken with rice and peas for us in return.

The question under discussion in this thread for those trying to follow along at home, is whether men who beat women should be held responsible for that activity. He is nothing if not boring, predictable and pedestrian. Darla’s writing contained none of these negative traits, hers is passionate, exciting, and generally informative as well as side-splitting funny. In fact, she is smarter and quicker than Tom and a much better writer. Perhaps he is simply jealous of her superior talent. There is certainly much there to be jealous of.

Darla isn’t a fake scientist or an oil and coal company shill, she speaks her mind and her mind only and her posts generally reflect her fine wit and her sparkling creativity. His posts are representative of a person who has no talent or creativity and instead prefers to let others speak for him because he has after over ten years posting daily on the internet still has not created a distinctive voice of his own. I didn't even watch it. Tom's only talent, other than schilling for oil companies, is unearthing women who hate themselves and posting their nonsense. Tom once posted that Helen Mirren was the "finest example of womanhood" to come out of England in years, on the same thread he waxed on about how she was one of those bitches who knew her place because she said she had been raped numerous times in Hollywood, but oh well what can you do, it's to be expected and you can't prove anything so you just have to let it go. The natural order and all.

Darla isn’t a fake scientist or an oil and coal company shill, she speaks her mind and her mind only and her posts generally reflect her fine wit and her sparkling creativity. Two qualities sadly lacking in Tom’s predictable and near continuous over-reliance on videos and quotations to make his points for him; . His posts are representative of a person who has no talent or creativity and instead prefers to let others speak for him because he has after over ten years posting daily on the internet still has not created a distinctive voice of his own. In contradistinction to Tom the untalented, and global warming obsessed quoter of others work, Darla can speak effectively on a wide variety of issues and interests from her interest in women’s issues to issues of gender, racial and sexual equality to her interest in labor issues and class issues, health care, voter’s rights and other current events.

Or maybe Tom is just so obsessed that he can’t let whatever is bothering him go. Perhaps Darla is just too truthful for Tom. He can’t write with anything like the creative power of Darla because he is too constipated and filled with hate to ever relax enough to be truly creative. Compare Darla’s satiric comment on Ron Paul’s new book: Kung Fu Fetus with Tom’s hate-filled and vindictive rant above. It’s clear who is the untalented one and who is the naturally talented and creative writer. Clear that is to everyone but Tom the woman-hating Troglodyte.

I didn't watch it either I read her wikipedia page! It laid out what she was about well enough to understand she is fucked up and evidently blames "high levels of hormones and neurochemicals associated with pervasive childhood trauma" as the real culprit that leads "adults [to] repeatedly engage in violent altercations with intimate partners." See it's the hormones that are to blame! And so she being the daughter of an abusive mother also had the hormones!

She was a legend, did start the women's shelters. She was from a violent household, fighting parents who abused each other and her.

She does seem to have gone mad.

Interesting person, seems she is voicing from her personal experience, but it doesn't make it the majority of abuse cases.

Her experience is immense but it doesn't surprise me that your BFF hasn't even heard of her. How could she, after Pizzey is English and a living legend. I find it interesting that anybody who expresses a different opinion must be mad, how broadminded of you.
