another court fight in the war on women

right....because Christians shouldn't be allowed to have certain jobs......it would be a war on women if they were......lol......

State officials said that particularly in rural areas of eastern Washington, where pharmacies may be more than 20 miles apart, a patient denied service by one pharmacist would not be able to go elsewhere for the medication in time.

They must have really slow moving vehicles.

It you cannot follow standard regulations applicable to everyone, then you shouldn't get a job governed by those regulations. Religion isn't a license to ignore the laws that you don't like.

Nor should the government be telling private business what goods/services they MUST sell.
What?! Are you freaken serious? IT'S A PHARMACY!!! The Government doesn't allow them to sell most drugs with out a perscription!! The government has every right to tell them what drugs they can and cannot sell as protecting the public safety is a constitutionally valid role of government.

Why not? The private business is required to be licensed by the state and must comply with state regulations if it wants the license.

So you would think it was cool for the government to tell you to retool your business to manufacture ammunition because they don't think your skis that you currently manufacture are important?

Care to explain how the above scenario is remotely applicable to government regulation of pharmacists?

something is not right with the slant here:

The morning-after pill, available under the brands Plan B One-Step, ella and Next Choice, can be taken up to 5 days after unprotected sex, but is most effective when taken within the first 72 hours.

let's see, 20 miles apart and it is most effective in the first 72 hours and can be taken up to 5 days later....and 20 miles is a burden? for that matter...what about online pharmacies?

It might be a burden for one without a car. When was the last time you walked 40 miles in a single day?

Never, I walked 21 miles in a day, for charity and after that I had a whole lot more respect for the pioneers!

If the skis can inexplicably detonate killing hundreds of innocent by standers and thus requires licensing to protect public safety, yup you betcha. :)

is there a law that you MUST sell something to your customers?.....I'm pretty sure the law permits most stores to choose their own inventory.......
