ANOTHER hero for the gun nuts to rally around!

he did that because you idiots told him he could shoot people if he had an excuse

No, He did that because he used poor judgment with a legally obtained (I assume), legal firearm. Something that, while deadly, people are allowed to own and use. Kind of like alcohol. Sorry folks, I see no difference. Alcohol often leads to stories like this one:

http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local/new_york&id=9408556

A Staten Island man is under arrest in a deadly case of drunk driving.

Michael Pogorzelski, 39, is charged with DWI in the Sunday night crash.

Police say he struck James Benedict as the 67-year-old walked in the bike lane on Lily Pond Avenue across from Fort Wadsworth.

Benedict died at Staten Island University Hospital.

Pogorzelski was arrested at the scene.

...same date, different place, different catalyst, same result, a human is dead.

What's similar in these two situations. Both men chose poor judgment it seems...one in choosing to shoot humans over them going into a building and the other in choosing to drink and drive. And by the way, for every one death by firearm you can find I can find 2 deaths by alcohol. If, as you and your friends seem to think, regulations will result in fewer deaths (assuming that is the only goal), which one needs more regulation?

What we really need are more strict popcorn control laws.

I can laugh at that as much as I laugh about Topper calling me a moron. In both situations....the movie theatre and and the story posted on this thread, the gun owners showed poor judgment and chose to act in a manner that cost someone their life. I would hardly "rally around" these guys. The popcorn defense is indefensible, IMO.

Pretty much this. There are idiots in any group...gun owners are no exception.

if the tea party had not been screaming about how you can legally kill people in this country if they scare you those men would be alive
