Perhaps, but so long as energy sources continue to be born and be accessible to humanity, that may not matter.
From what I've read, humanity doesn't need our particular sun to survive- the only thing that seems necessary is energy and the ability to convert it into what we need to live.
You may be on to something in regards to thought. As to things that expire, yes, many things do, but things are also born. So long as the things that are born can support humanity, I think there's a chance that we many continue forever.

Disagreed. I've been observing the situation since Jihadists blew up the Marine barracks in Lebanon. While working on my master's degree in 1990 most of my classmates focused upon the Soviet Union. Seeing that the USSR was collapsing (thanks Reagan!) I chose to focus upon where I thought the next wars would be: South/Central America and the Middle East. Fortunately, the wars in the Americas never happened. Part of that was due to the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, as you and I can see today 35 years later, the Middle East is still a hot mess.
Just like the Soviets funding terrorists in South and Central America, Iran is funding terrorism throughout the ME. All the weapons and training the Palestinians used on October 7th came from Iran.
Again, Phan, what is your solution to the Palestinian-Israeli problem? It takes two to make peace and only one to make war. I'm open to your ideas.

Yes. Israel is about the same size as New Jersey with a similar population of about 9.5M.
The problem is terrorism. If the Cartels launched an attack on El Paso, TX similar to October 7th, the United States Marine Corps would take over the Mexican state of Chihuahua and most Americans would support doing so. The Mexicans wouldn't like it but if the government of Mexico can't control their terrorists, then the Marine Corps would be happy to do it for them.
