That depends on the safe. I have, as I said before, a biometric pistol safe that opens in less than one second. The gun is secure until I put my finger on the pad.

Or we could all put magnets in our ceilings, to cause the fired LEAD bullet to be deflected.![]()
That's fine, if someone can afford one; but are you worried about one of your children sneaking into your bedroom and sneaking the gun into a different room?

That biometric pistol safe is on sale for $99.88. The regular price is $129.99. If they can afford a gun they can afford a secure place to store it.
I bought my pistol safe a few years ago when my daughter was younger and would have sleepovers with 3 or 4 other girls. I wanted to be sure the gun was safe but still accessible.
Zappy was born with a short fuse and he is constantly reminded of it by people he personaly knows, so he is very irritable and can "go off" on just about anyone who suggests that they know about his short fuse. I have known Zappy for many moons and if I bring up the subject of his "short fuse", he will blow it.I have posted many times calling for less vitriol on these forums. I was ridiculed for it. And, as I recall, you took part in that ridicule.
But the posts you have made in this thread were not about having a rational discussion. Your post of "...and all because they just HAD to prove a point to us "gun grabbers"" showed that quite clearly.
Nothing in that article even hinted that they bought that gun to prove anything to anyone.
Then you're in favor of having all vehicles being equipped with ignition lock out devices.
That way you won't receive a phone call from some police station somewhere saying....Mr. plate? Steel Plate? We found your car that you reported stolen...it was found to be involved in a head on crash with a school bus that killed 30 children...it was being driven by a drunk.
Stop being ridiculous....this is my biggest fucking beef with you.... I SAID "TO EACH THEIR OWN".....did I fucking not?
Stop turning it into some kind of ridiculous rampage.
a 22 is one of the most deadly firearms because it penetrates a body easily, but rather than exit the body, it ricochets around inside the body doing enormous damage.
i used a single shot 22 as a learning weapon - one of the things i was taught about firearms is never to assume it is loaded or unloaded, always check a firearm's 'load' status when you handle it regardless of what anyone tells you about its load status.

Oh......please stop.
Definitely more deadly than a .45

I fucking hate people (almost always Fudds) who parrot that stupidity.
but it ricochets...
If it penetrates deep enough to hit a bone, MAYBE.
