Your article verifies what I said, that Democrats want to take these statues down. In other words, erase their history.

It also shows that Republicans are a lot more tolerant, and prefer to have these statues up. For me it's a reminder that Democrats went to war against us, and we kicked their asses.
 
Taking down statues of traitors is hardly erasing history, you can always go back down into the basement & view your collection or google it but prob won't miss them much..

Your drug use has destroyed your brain. The midterms showed who kicked whos asses. nobody's erasing any history this is been explained to you before but you're too stupid to follow the conversation. Removing statues doesn't ultimately change anything.
(Ole Miss is moving the statue to a cemetery on school grounds, btw....
23,000 plus students at Ole Miss...47 took part in this pricey, unnecessary move...interesting new mascot (they're still the Rebels-???)---these poor kids should focus on their education)

I'm not sure how you think that removing a statue changes/erases history. Statues are put up to honor an event or a person. The person/event still exists; we are simply refusing to honor it by having its monument in public view. It's my understanding that this statue isn't being destroyed, but moved to a more appropriate location. Why would that trouble you? Do you think you'll miss it?

Unpleasant history is the most important. Ever been to Europe? In many towns there are huge statues representing the Great Plague that destroyed half or more of the population. The Civil War destroyed more US soldiers than all the other US wars combined. Our children and grandchildren need to be reminded of this.
