Anti-government? What would you do?

Anarchists in the Occupy movement? They seemed like quiet souls. Considering the number of people only a small fraction of them were naughty.

There were plenty of anarchists within the occupy movement. Many Ron Paul Republicans too. Quiet souls??? What does that have to do with anything?

septic tanks and wells are wonderful. no reliance on the gobblement

Yeah, and if we all want to live in some isolated area far from civilization and its wealth machines that would be a reasonable solution. THIS is why the south will never rise again. You don't understand capitalism and you isolate yourselves from it. Agrarian societies are poor and there is little opportunity within them.

This is the key point that some seem to have missed. Ask for my cooperation or help and I will bend over backward to do all I can.

I am in full agreement on that, but they need to complain. They deserve better and they are being denied it due to poor leadership and a corrupt system of service delivery.

If your ISP told all of it's customers to reboot their routers at a certain time of day, you would just live with that?

I get the impression some folks don't like the government offering solutions regardless of what the solution may be.

In libertarianism it is the force that is the problem. Too many idiots attempt to pretend that Libertarianism and Anarchism are the same thing. They aren't.

Should the force of government be used to set a time for flushing? Where is the victim?

Simply pointing out that this will save them some money in a hard time and clean out the pipes and asking people to so something. I don't know any libertarian (small or big "L") that would care at all about it. Now if the Brown Shirts showed up to ensure you flushed on schedule, then we'd have a problem.

It's part of the statist religion. Any disagreement with glorious leader and the reigning prophets marks you as an apostate. Your wicked ways and worshipping of false idols (other theories of government) will bring a curse on the people. If you persist that justifies persecution, such as throwing you in jail, committing you based on some vague diagnosis and or denial of other civil liberties.

Libertarianism and anarchism share many common ideas and thoughts. Just like Republicans and Democrats share a lot in common with Socialists, Communists and Fascists. It's a matter of degree and she is engaging in hyperbole. It seems I was not about the T(oilet)S(eat)A(dministration), though I did mean it as a joke.

Synchronised toilet flush urged in Zimbabwe's Bulawayo.

Residents of Zimbabwe's second city are being asked to all flush their toilets at the same time, to prevent sewage pipes becoming blocked.

Would you have cooperated or complained about big government interfering in your life?

I would complain about the shitty and corrupt government having destroyed the economy of my nation so badly that we can't even keep a half-decent sewage system running, and so must resort to half-baked gimmicks in order to compensate.

If you would have complied otherwise, consider it charity. If you are unconcerned and feel no obligation to your fellow man, consider it justice. I don't get this pansy libertarian/liberal fretting over force. IMO, ideally, we'd tax those who did otherwise at a higher rate. However, we can't read minds, and are so left with the necessary alternative of simply treating everyone equally. The libertarian solution of letting the assholes get off Scott-free is the worst of any world.

The use of force is impractical in this instance, as it'd take more to enforce than it would be worth and involve gross violations of privacy which sets horrendous precedents. It would also have the effect of unnecessarily subsidizing a system that just , perhaps, doesn't feel like reforming itself, but could if it tried.

Yes, but you are too full of PC crap to complain about Mugabe.

Me?! PC?!
