anti-vaxxers using Brady Bunch to justify making kids sick/dying

Bill, you didn't really answer. What do you think of the failure rate? Shouldn't the cases of vaccinated yet infected individuals have been a smaller fraction of the total? nearly a third of all cases among the population as a whole were people who were vaccinated. WTF? Do you have an opinion on the efficacy of vaccinations?

Wasn't aware of that.....

It's most likely that the current U.S. outbreak was brought in by an international traveler -- and not some random illegal like the racist assholes want us to believe. From the U.N.'s website:

LOL

The person must have visited a lot of places. Hilariously inept logic. My god you are one dumb fucking bitch

Toadstool was against vaccines before he was for them:

"Before winning the presidency, Trump several times alleged there was a link between the number of vaccines children get in early infancy and the development of autism."

But you're right; idiocy and idiot parents belong to both sides of the political spectrum.

Yes, I remember that. I never bought the autism claims. The anti-vaxxers are the reason this is happening. Even if a single illegal didn't get into this country, a single traveler could bring it over. It's that contagious. I hope those MMR shots last a lifetime. I know I had one.

Measles is so contagious, you can catch it just by being in a room where an infected person has been two hours earlier.

So a single traveler visited rooms all over the place in a couple hours? I don't get your point. I'm aware that contagions can persist in the environment.

I think the root cause of the problem is people/children not being vaccinated. The disease was practically eradicated until someone began claiming vaccines caused autism. I remember John Travolta was one of the ones leading the charge in that effort.

Before the autism nonsense, the anti-modern-medicine gang used various other excuses.... "putting poison in the child's body," "mercury," "it will give them allergies," "If god wanted us....." and so on. I hope schools get back to requiring proof of immunization before allowing kids to attend.

Exactly. Chickenpox is the same. They are both caused by sturdy, air-borne viruses. In addition, during the prodromal period, the person doesn't even know that he is coming down with it, but he's still infectious. Imagine one infected guy on a plane full of ppl, and how once they land they disperse across the city or country.

I agree! That's how it used to be. You had to provide proof of vaccines for school. I don't want to be exposed to all this crapola. What's next? Polio back in the mix?

Maureen McCormick is a bimbo. She's whining that her image is being used by individuals without her asking her first. Maybe she's too stupid to understand what being a celebrity means? Maybe she's too stupid to understand the concept of Fair Use.

The Brady Bunch episode was right. Measles is no worse than a cold or flu. Anti-vaxxers have always been around, but it wasn't until very recently that people started to go ballistic over them. We live in a state where the Left is at constant war with our freedoms, and they scream and cry to try to force compliance with their demands.

People in Third World countries would kill to have our vaccines and our medical technology to spare their kids from contagious diseases, yet ignorant righties like you have to make it political. FTR there were approximately110,000 deaths from measles and its complications worldwide in 2017. Deaths, from a disease that can be prevented by vaccination. Shows how much you guys care about kids.

That's all it takes. Makes me want to become a hermit.

you are an idiot

go read about the disease

I seem to recall that, yes. A lot of sex tourists who went to Haiti became infected as well.

And ebola. None of these people were illegals.

Overall, eleven people were treated for Ebola in the United States during the 2014-2016 epidemic. On September 30, 2014, CDC confirmed the first travel-associated case of EVD diagnosed in the United States in a man who traveled from West Africa to Dallas, Texas. The patient (the index case) died on October 8, 2014. Two healthcare workers who cared for him in Dallas tested positive for EVD. Both recovered.

On October 23, 2014, a medical aid worker who had volunteered in Guinea was hospitalized in New York City with suspected EVD. The diagnosis was confirmed by the CDC the next day. The patient recovered.

Seven other people were cared for in the United States after they were exposed to the virus and became ill while in West Africa, the majority of whom were medical workers. They were transported by chartered aircraft from West Africa to hospitals in the United States. Six of these patients recovered, one died.[SUP][2][/SUP]

It's terrifying to think that disease could be weaponized and dispersed simply via international jet travel, isn't it?
