Any Memorial Day Weekend Plans?

Same to you. We also have 3 cemeteries. All spread out, but we get there. I think we’re the last generation in my family to carry out this tradition. Maybe some hope for my daughter, however.

Because people are so mobile, not many live in the same place they grew up. But I’m 5th generation SW Idaho, so we can still take care of the markets. By now, I can almost find them blindfolded.

Yes, we are the last of our family to do this as well. My nephew goes with us and say's he is committed to keep this going after we're gone, BLESS HIS HEART!

I got a 'Flyer' in the mail about the Casinos reopening, and a 'promotion' for a 'Free Buffet' (usually costs $24.99) to lure me in. Hmmm, after thinking about it for maybe a minute, I figure that might NOT be a Good Move at this point in time. I'll let some of the more 'Die-Hards' be the first to crowd together and see how that works out. Don't get me wrong, I like to gamble, but this is one I'm going to pass on. :(

Free Buffet is hard to pass up. I recommend being among the first if you go. :)

Nothing special planned here except for grilling steaks on Memorial Day. I've been working on building a kayak trailer this month (in the painting and wiring stage now) plus cleaning out my building organizing and reassessing stuff collected over 20 years.

My ex called me today and invited me to her Back Yard Wing-Ding Sunday. 3 of my adult Grand children will be there along with my son.

She told me if I didn't come they were just going to all gossip about me! LOL! And bring my Mom!

So, I better get my ass over there!

:) Yeah. I'm 'de-cluttering' my house too.

Going to the GF's sister's for her family gathering Sun. Staying home and grilling a few steaks on the grill Mon. Maybe take my car for a ride if it's nice.

That sort of thing is getting old.

Its time for a road trip...we are headed for the beach soon.

A clean garage is getting old? I can now comfortably walk around my car and I didn't throw anything out. That ain't gettin old!

3 friends and I went for a road trip with our cars Thurs. morning/early afternoon, just for something to do.

Sprucing up the home front has gotten old...yes....it was satisfying for awhile but is no more.

Beat you to it. My Mom wanted to do that on the Saturday before Mother's day. It's an annual family event. We have lots in 3 different cemeteries all in the same county that we care for.

I appreciate people who still care for and remember their dead! I salute you Sir!

I do that too. I’m married to a Filipina and I’m from Ohio. Every other year we travel to the Philippines to visit her family. When we do we usually stay in Manila for a couple of days. While in Manila I make a trip to the American Military Cemetary where many of our Service Members who were killed there in WWII are buried/memorialized. It’s the Largest US Military outside the US and is far larger than the one in Normandy. Around 50,000 Americans are honored there in a most beautiful landscape. I always purchase a Buckeye necklace before we leave and while walking through the Cemetary when i see that one of our honored dead is from Ohio I place a Buckeye on top of their tombstone to show my respect and to show that their sacrifice has not been forgotten.

It's just a great feeling to know that people celebrate others lives and the sacrifices they made for their country.

So here on Memorial Day I salute you Sir!

My Dad was stationed at Clark AFB just after the end of WWII when we took it back from the Japanese.

He had many tales to tell about his time in the service there.

No plans here, no gatherings, taking a pass on possible transmission, but did see a house with a bunch of pick-up trucks outside and Trump flags. They don't seem to be taking social distancing very seriously.

Ditto. And yet another Memorial Day where the not so new Christiananality pedophilia master race continuing that fabricated misnomer Jesus the Christ immaculate conception died for their sins so that their master plan of having others die for their way too dang lily brilliant white "man is God" cognitive condescending arrogance dissonance where it doesn't even matter how many they send to death just to memorialize annually...
