There Can be Only One!

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was briefly pulled during the fourth quarter of Thursday's 97-92 win over the Dallas Wings, and saw her minutes limited as head coach Tyler Marsh turned to the bench.

It's been a poor start to the season for Chicago, and Reese has faced criticism with some accusing her of being distracted due to her constant off-court commitments. Reese has since responded to her haters after becoming the quickest player in WNBA history to reach 500+ rebounds and 500+ points, but her current stat line hasn't led to a winning run for the Sky.

I've been enjoying the skyrocketing ratings and fan base since Catlin Clark entered the league! I've also enjoyed the rivalry between Clark and Angel Reese.

The difference, to me: Reese is behaving her age and Clark is just keeping her head down to her own business and setting records.

The Celtics won 18 NBA Championships in my lifetime--
their whole existence has been in my lifetime, both of us starting in 1946--
and I lived a short walk from the Garden as a kid.

That said, I doubt that I've been to eighteen of their games over the past eight decades.
Was never a big basketball or hockey fan.
Sometimes I've gone with friends or relatives who wanted to go.
Bill Russell was awesome, I have to admit. So was Bobby Orr with the Bruins.

I've never seen a women's or girl's game, even when I was in high school (if they even had them then)..
They're probably good.
Just not big on basketball.

I’m a fan. Women’s sports is coming up.
Our local team, the Seattle Storm is having an OK start. We lost Brianna Stewart to NY 2 years ago and Jewel Lloyd this year to free agency. We did get Sophie Cunningham on a trade and she's another "Caitlin Clark" type guard.

I've been paying a little attention to the NBA 'cause of the Knicks rise this year. This might be their year!

Sorry 'bout them Celts!

They'll clean up the nonsense, take out the trash, and ratings will soar even more...there's some real talent...
(Brittney Griner called Caitlin Clark a what? :))
Don't hold us in suspense - what did she call her?

We have just started viewing. We’re big college basketball fans, and soccer fans men’s and women’s.

I watch womens' soccer when there is nothing else on. Most of the Euros are butt ugly, so I mostly stick to USA teams; they have the hottest chicks. Beach volleyball is a bigger favorite. The other sports are just a bunch of ugly dykes running around trying to look serious. LPGA has a few hot chicks, but most seem to be short fat Asian chicks.

I used to be a huge sport fan....I gave them all up over 25-30 years.

The only thing I watch now is Super Bowl....mostly for the commercials and the party.....but I am getting ready to be done with that too maybe.

Quit watching pro sports back when they had those strikes back in the 1990's, when third string short stops were already making more than a neurosurgeon and sniveling about it. Same with the ThuggsBawl hoodlums pretending to be football players.

No. Hate basketball.

On another note, I have been watching the women's college softball games.
Looks like they're going to have women's pro softball backed by the MLB.

Baseball was the first big sport I gave up on, for multiple reasons to include price gouging at the games.

Yes. When I was a kid major league games in all sports were affordable. Now they're just corporate group gropes for the wealthy. High school and college games are more fun anyway. though college sports can be considered pro sports now.

When owners are clearly more interested in pulling more money out of my pocket than they are in conducting quality games I check out....I thought that baseball was the first of the major leagues to do that.

The not giving a flying fuck about the fans goes further than price gouging and horrible rule changes....we also see this with stuff like staff/player changes and rivalries and traditions that the fans care about.

When I feel like the people who run the games are giving me the finger I tend to decide that I have better things to do.

Corporations are run by amoral sociopaths, who then complain now that most of the labor pool and their employees have no work ethic and the same morality as the bosses do now. lol

Like most corporatists, there is a reason the commies always exterminate the useful idiots first when they take over.
