Supposedly our attorney, who is a partner in an estate-planning practice, has constructed our will to protect our assets to a large degree from being drawn down in the event one of us needs long term care. It's extremely complicated and full of legalese. We also left $10K to a parrot rescue to take in and care for our birds in the event we both kick the bucket at the same time.

It's sad when pet owners don't provide for the care of their pets after they pass. A local shelter recently advertised the availability of five cats after their owner passed.

While the owner may be simply adopted stray cats, people who don't neuter their animals are part of the problem.

Which is mostly due to the actions of the IncompetentClown-in-Chief, despite the denials of the MAGATtards. Funny how all the fake empathy and crocodile tears for people struggling to make ends meet because of the inflation caused by the pandemic and supply chain disruptions evaporated the instant he began pollution the White House again, isn't it?

A recent remark I heard about the Orange Clown falsely claiming less than $2 gas prices is that he only knows the prices from what he sees driving by in his limo.....and probably at a defunct gas station.

People who hear "$2 gas" and are paying $3.50 gas should question the veracity of the person claiming such low prices.

A "bug out bag"? Did you ever see that goofy reality show called "Doomsday Preppers"? They always had a bug out bag. Most of them seemed to be more into hoarding firearms and ammo than any serious plans for long term survival after whatever Disaster Du Jour -- EMP, pandemic, govt. collapse, etc. -- they feared. The show went off the air some years ago. Several of the preppers featured got busted for illegal weapons and other offenses after appearing on the program. My favorite by far was the tough-talking, multi-gun-toting guy w ho was trying to teach his kids how to kill ppl who "come for our food." He accidentally shot himself in the thumb on camera, looked at the wound, and passed out. :laugh:
