Mamdami suffers from the label. Socialism terrifies Americans who have been programmed for a century to hate it. There is no socialism, communism, no real capitalism. They are all mixtures. Helping people is called socialism. Giving the power and money to the wealthy is not called plutocracy, but it is. Sweden is not socialist. It is capitalism that gives more help to the masses, like tax-paid education and universal healthcare.
The Dems are not trying to change America in a fundamental way. Trump and the Republican suckups are.
Money =power, and the superwealthy are getting it bigly.

The political earthquake that shook the Democratic Party when Zohran Mamdani won New York City's primary last month has rattled its way down to Washington, D.C., as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., hosts a "Communication and Organizing Skillshare Breakfast" on Wednesday morning.


Ocasio-Cortez, the progressive champion and youngest woman elected to Congress, was an early endorser of Mamdani, the 33-year-old so-called democratic socialist who has yet to land key endorsements from New York Democratic leaders.

The Bronx and Queens representative campaigned with Mamdani in New York City ahead of his primary win last month, and on Wednesday, the "Squad" member is welcoming Mamdani to the nation's capital.

According to a flier obtained by The Washington Post, Ocasio-Cortez and Mamdani are hosting breakfast at 8 a.m. on Wednesday at the National Democratic Club. While the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is located right next door to where Wednesday's breakfast is being held, the DNC did not organize the event. ...

Didn’t read it, and of course you didn’t provide a link, but from seeing similar narratives they are most likely implying that if elected the right wing propaganda sites and sources will demagogue the hell out of it

It’s the citizens of NYC’s decision, and based on the fact NYC is America’s leading city, they have made the right decisions in the past

In the 50's to 70's Europe was much more socialist than it is today. That turned into a massive failure that had to be undone with a return to more capitalism.
