Apparently there is no Iranian Mothership sending drones to fly over New Jersey.... *WHEW*

You know you were worried about just this scenario...

Pentagon: There Is No Iranian "Mothership" Launching Drones Over New Jersey

FNC's Jennifer Griffin asked the Pentagon during a press briefing Wednesday about comments made by Rep. Jeff Van Drew about an Iranian "mothership" launching drones off the U.S. Eastern Seaboard.

"We have no evidence that these activities are coming from a foreign entity or are the work of an adversary," said Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh. "These are not U.S. military drones. Again, this is being investigated by local law enforcement. Our initial assessment is that these are not drones or activities coming from a foreign entity or adversary."

About Rep. Jeff Van Drew's claim, she said: "There is no Iranian ship off the coast of the United States, and there is no so-called mothership launching drones toward the United States."

I think the guy was throwing everything and the kitchen sink. One of the ideas he spouted was this one.... and it made me laugh an actual belly laugh. Iran does not have that kind of capability.

The Covid, Caravan, Pizza Parlor conspiracy theorists were so sure...

The only thing I know for sure is that our government is refusing to tell us what it knows, and is lying claiming that it does not know anything, which sadly is very common in this dark age.
For once, I think you are correct.

Or it’s simply an increase in drones, and the reporting of them snowballed.

This whole thing is just embarassing to watch. A former governor posting a literal video of the fucking stars of the Orion constellation, claiming they are evil unidentified drones. A news station taking video of a fucking unfocused Venus and saying they don't know what it is. People posting pictures of literal fucking planes and claiming they are drones and showing they don't understand parallax effect.

And nary a drone in sight.

Here’s how a social contagion works: media stories report on “mysterious drones” in the sky.

Millions of neophytes go outside at night and for the first time notice all the planes, helicopters, Venus, Jupiter, StarLink and other satellites, etc, report their sightings that leads to more media coverage, then copycat drone operators send up their commercial drones to try to film the “drones” and then those get reported, then the government/military sends up some drones to investigate and those are reported, and so on.

We need a word for when people start believing something based on zero evidence and then after it's known there was no evidence for their belief, they keep searching for reasons to believe it.

In dark ages as bad as this one that is a very shitty standard.

The truth is kept from us generally.
