i'd say he's being treated completely unfairly by the law. how many politicians (and at least one cop) have tried to go past security with a loaded handgun in their carryon and only receive a citation and court date?

Link to the articles. I'd like to see them.
good fricking god, again? do you want national news articles? local news articles? blogs? what sources will you NOT fucking accept? because one would think that you'd be tired of getting owned by me through out this entire board time after time.

Wow. Why so hostile?

If you don't have any credible evidence, just say so.

Do you agree that the 2nd Amendment should trump any restrictions on open carry?

Asking for links to the news accounts you referenced is "retarded"? How so?
based on your propensity for 'current events', one would think you've heard about these incidents as well, especially when you prefer highlighting almost any and all news articles about shootings and guns, so for you to ask for links citing these incidents, disregarding the fact that I've always stated things that have actually occurred, or have always been upfront when i've been found to be wrong, is retarded. You don't want to accept my word as fact, fine, but don't get butthurt when i continually show you up and burn you.

Sen. Juan Hinojosa, D-McAllen, was found with a 9 mm handgun in his briefcase Monday afternoon as he passed through security at Miller International Airport.

Airport security discovered the weapon and police arrested Hinojosa and took him to the police department to be arraigned.

But to the chagrin of police, McAllen Municipal Court Judge Kathleen Henley dropped the charge, Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said Tuesday.

Assemblyman Tim Donnelly is seeking a plea deal on misdemeanor charges stemming from the discovery of a loaded firearm in his hand-carry luggage by screeners at Ontario International Airport.

Congressman Hostettler faces a charge that could put him behind bars.

Indiana's 8th district representative is in trouble after being detained at the Louisville airport for carrying a loaded gun in his briefcase.

The crime is a misdemeanor but it carries a sentence of up to a year in jail and a $500 fine.
Hostettler says he was detained at the airport for an hour for FBI questioning. His loaded nine mm Glock was confiscated and he was let go.

Before he boarded his flight, the congressman was issued a citation for a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed and deadly weapon.

it would have been just as easy for you to do it as well.

I didn't bring up the subject of police and legislators getting preferential treatment and allude to news accounts.

You did.

So we agree that police and legislators should be able to carry onboard aircraft and in airports along with every other citizen?

if police are acting in their 'official duties' as police, that decision is not just mine to make. If they, or elected representatives, are traveling as regular citizens, they should be allowed to carry just like we should be.

I thought you had something to teach the rest of America about Constitutional rights.
