Are Libertarians Happy they voted for Joe Biden?

Prior to the last presidential election, Trump was against foreign entanglements--Libertarian Platform plank 3.3. Trump also supported and signed a criminal justice reform act (plank 1.7), reduced government regulation (plank 2.8), made major steps toward peaceful relationships in the Middle East (plank 3.3), and encouraged private domestic energy production (plank 2.3). So, Trump had quite a bit of Libertarian idealism in his makeup.

But what the Libertarian Party accomplished in 2020 was giving us government vaccine mandates, growing foreign entanglements in a regional European war, huge government deficits, and growing inflation. How did the Libertarian Party accomplish this? In three states--Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin--the total Libertarian vote for Biden was 4.9, 5.3, and 1.9, respectively, times the Democrat vote margin for Biden inn those states.

Had Trump won those 3 states with the Libertarian vote he would still be our greatest modern day president.

So, Libertarians--particularly in Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin--two plus years into the Biden administration, are you happy?

Is the unrestricted immigration (Libertarian Party Platform plank 3.4) worth giving up personal liberty (plank 1.1) and voting in vaccine mandates? Is immigration worth more government interference in the market? Is immigration worth more racial division? Is immigration worth a larger, more oppressive government? Is immigration worth a government seeking to and pressuring private businesses to shut down free speech? Is there anything you are getting as a Libertarian from the Biden administration other than unrestricted immigration? I could not find a Libertarian Party Platform that said "no mean tweets."

Any libertarian who thought voting for biden in any way aligned with libertarian values needs a brain transplant. Sorry, that's just what I think.

I doubt that Libertarians voted for Biden. They didn't vote for Trump, but they also didn't vote for Biden. If Trump wanted their vote he should have acted like it. Spending like a drunken democrat on methamphetamines was not in any way libertarian. Trump sold himself to Libertarians in 2016 as someone who knew how to balance a budget and to limit spending, he did neither.

Libertarians voted for Jo Jorgensen because Trump had no compunction against spending and breaking the promises that meant something to Libertarians. While some may have been happy with his choices for SCOTUS, that was not enough to overcome his overly massive (and growing) deficit spending. They didn't vote for Brandon either because that moron planned to spend even more while somehow magically lowering the deficit at the same time (you cannot tax your way to prosperity, it takes economic growth while limiting spending to do that, not just taxes).

Anyway, the increased radicalization of the two major parties make Libertarians want to puke, they voted for Jo Jorgensen because there was no other option that wouldn't be just voting for a bucket of poop (just the one you think has "less" poop)... Our "two" choices were not the only ones, and the two folks running those campaigns didn't care to try to get Libertarians to vote for them.

I will never vote for Trump. you can frame this in any retarded way you want - but I will never understand how anyone can vote for that narcissistic man child

For once, I agree with you! People who claim to be part of a Libertarian Party Platform would never vote for a Democrat.

But here is the truth, there is no real LIBERTARIAN PARTY PLATFORM!

Every Libertarian that ever ran for public office, ran as Independents without any platform to speak of.

The bad news for historians is when you look at their scoring systems and scores, they can't justify the ratings they've made...

So your point is that Libertarians are too stupid to know the difference between the President and Congress. Interesting. You'd think SOMEBODY would pull the Libertarians aside and tell them "Hey, Congress sets the budget and Congress controls the spending." Or are you saying that somebody tried but that Libertarians are as stupid as warmizombies and just won't listen to reason?

Anyway, the increased radicalization of the two major parties make Libertarians want to puke.

The parties are different enough to actually mean something now.

One has to be a literal schizophrenic to vote split tickets now.
I NEVER did but now, fewer and fewer people do.

I understand the plight of centrists,
but far more importantly than that,
I do not understand the centrists themselves.
I find it so easy to pick a side...always have.

As for libertarians, to me, the principle liberty that they all seek is freedom from social responsibility.
They may see themselves differently, of course, but to me,
they're just one more wing of the republican party.

I don't understand your last sentence. Many candidates have run for office on the Libertarian ticket and not as independents.

Most Libertarians are informed enough to know the president is responsible for preparing and submitting the budget. While Congress must pass it and usually makes some changes, the federal budget is essentially that submitted by the president within 5%. See Budget & Accounting Act of 1921.

So you are confirming Damocles' view that Libertarians are debilitatingly stupid, that they are incognizant of the full budget and spending control of Congress, and instead stupidly assign full authority to the secretary (President) who simply compiles the initial paperwork. Wow. That is a very bleak picture you paint. Libertarians must be those happy people participating in the Special Olympics, if what you are saying is true. Do we let them vote?

I think the personality traits you find repulsive are exactly the reasons Republicans worship their Messiah Trump.

naah. it's the enemy of my enemy thing. a politician finally taking the gloves off and fight like democrats fight is what they like. And his populist policies draw many democrats - you just refuse to admit it

stop showing your ignorance about Libertarian platforms. it's all about freedom, you know......something that Democrats and Republicans know very little about.

you're obviously confused about what is a Libertarian and what is a Democrat
