Are you "prepping"?

I'm seeing a lotta that going around some places. Almost like Y2K all over again, except this time with Nazis.

My house is already equipped with backup generators and a decent amount of stable food. I have increased ammunition stocks a bit, and I do have a bug-out plan as well.

Anyone else?
Not more than I have been....I try to keep at least three months of everything on hand. If I expected to live longer I would deal with the iffy electricity supply.

I'm always prepped. I've lived through hurricanes in Florida, Y2K and the Big Freeze in Texas. Everyone, where possible, should be ready to live two weeks without assistance. That's very difficult for some.

I have a disabled adult child who lives with me. He requires some medical equipment so I have a backup generator that switches in automatically to handle essentials. it's plumbed to the natural gas supply but also can run on a propane tank that is good for about 2 days if that supply is interrupted.

It bugs the hell outta my neighbors. When the power goes out it kicks in immediately, and while it's not that loud blackouts are very quiet so it's quite noticeable.

They say it the noise but I suspect they are just jealous and wish they had one, lol.

At least they know where the nearest power supply is when SHTF.

We prepared as soon as DonOld was sworn in, I have a stocked pantry and freeze dried food because we’re in hurricane country, but we bumped it up just in case DonOld does something stupid.

We live 30 highway minutes from town in your basic wilderness. We have a propane-fired generator, a couple of months (at least) food, meds., alcohol (for medicinal purposes of course), fuel for the chainsaw and the tractor, and a means to heat and cook and sterilize water (wood stove) if the grid goes down and we run out of propane. We have a large veggie/herb/fruit garden, and could hunt and fish if needed. It's just common sense when you live where winters are harsh and last for months and months. Or one car running into a pole that takes out your power. We don't have a landline though, do you?
