weird comparison. This Castro fellow may be a democrat, but he certainly doesn't represent the party. Akins, on the other hand, actually DID represent the GOP. They nominated him to run under their banner for a seat in congress and during the campaign, he took the GOP message to the voters and he sold them on that message, and he was a member of the GOP caucus.

As usual, the non thinkers go out of their way to miss the point. The point was not to imply that all Democrats are like Ariel Castro. Now the shallow thinkers will scream "But that is what you wrote".

The point was to use this as an example to point out the hypocrisy of the left who attempt to paint every conservative or tea party member with the broad brush of one bad actor. It is clear that they don't like it when it is done to them, but rest assured they won't hesitate to do it in the future.

Case in point is Zappa's little circle jerk threads over every tragic story with a gun.

While Zappa's threads have been nonsense, plenty of neocons have tried to equate a single person with the entire party as well. It is certainly not the exclusive domain of the dems.

When libs make that claim, they are wrong.
There is enough evidence to show that liberals generally defend other liberals who commit these crimes.

It's the curse of the internet where you can't see if the person typing has a stern serious as cancer look on their face and means 100% of what they say or they are just kicking back laughing out loud thinking 'I wonder how many people I can get to go crazy if I type this' look. Having spent some time on football boards I've seen plenty of the latter but sadly the former does exist as well.
