Arizona slams blatant White Lib Racists - passes School Choice bill

Awesome; the parents who pay the taxes for their kids' educations, choosing where their own tax money will be spent for their own kids.

It's called "FREEDOM". What a concept!!

Of course, the Left will HATE IT ,as the left abhors ALL FREEDOMS, except for choosing to murder your unborn child....

Socialism means the gov't owns the means of production, just like in a monarchy.

Liberal used to mean small limited gov't. Now it means the exact opposite thanks to Orwellian socialists.

John Locke was a conservative Christian. :palm:

The monarchy in 18th Century England, like most monarchy's, did not "own the means of production". It "owned", as in it exerted control, over the systems of national government that protected those who did own the means of production and was paid handsomely for that protection.

Liberalism never meant "small limited government". It did and does mean citizen control of government, also individual liberty.

John Locke was a secular philosopher and is famously known as The Father of Liberalism.

p.s. "The means of production" like socialism for which the term was invented is a product of the 19th Century and The Industrial Revolution. George III wouldn't have known what you were talking about.

As you said, controlled by the State, private in name only. In effect, the Owners were just gov't bureaucrats serving the State. Most monarchies were true monarchies.

"The land of Canada is solely owned by Queen Elizabeth II who is also the head of state. Only 9.7% of the total land is privately owned while the rest is Crown Land. The land is administered on behalf of the Crown by various agencies or departments of the government of Canada.Jun 11, 2019"

The Orwellian socialist's have changed the meaning of "liberalism" to "socialism".

Classical liberalism is a political ideology and a branch of liberalism that advocates free market and laissez-faire economics; civil liberties under the rule of law with an emphasis on limited government, economic freedom, and political freedom.

All the things the White libs hate.

I said monarchies controlled “the systems of government”, not the enterprises supported and protected by them. This is elementary history. And land isn’t “a means of production.” Also elementary.

“Orwellian socialists”, if such exist, don’t write the dictionary, not to suggest they don’t write it for you.

Don’t know where you copied the definition of classical liberalism from but you have it correctly for a change.

Yes, controlled by the gov't. The gov't made the decisions for the owners. If they didn't serve the State, they would lose their charter or land or their life.

Ever hear of the socialist feudal system? Ever hear of agriculture? Well, it was really a big deal in the 18th century. And most of the land was in the hands of the crown or members of the royal court.

You're repeating yourself.

Don't be confused by "classical liberalism". It refers to an understanding of liberalism from the world of James Madison not the world of Franklin Roosevelt. The key to liberalism in both worlds is individual liberty, which became elusive amid the economically transformative upheavals that began around 1830 and have been with us ever since.

Feudalism and socialism are fundamental opposites. Briefly stated, feudalism is ownership mainly for the economic benefit of the owner while modern socialism is ownership regulated under a system of law that spreads much of the economic benefits to members of society generally. Feudal landowners were feared by their tenants. Roosevelt, our greatest experimenter in socialist policy, was feared and despised by the captains of industry and loved by the voters.

And now the AZ. Senate has passed the School Choice bill, too.

Apparently, you continue to slam your own self in the ass at being a worthless liar and an enemy combative trolling POS.

Oh, I am not confused. As I said, the Orwellian Left changed the definition of 'liberalism' to socialism, and you just confirmed it. But you're so emotionally invested that you can't admit it, now.

It wasn't called 'classical' liberalism in the time of Locke and Madison. It was just 'liberalism'. And it meant capitalism and small limited gov't. The Left put the word 'classical' in front of it when, in true orwellian fashion, they changed the meaning of the language. The changes in meanings are one of the reasons it is so difficult to have a discussion between left and right.

Classical liberalism now means 'conservative', and liberalism now means socialism.

FDR was our first Socialist Dictator. He bought votes using taxpayer money. The Constitution had to be amended because of him.

Feudal lords (royalty) and vassals had to pledge loyalty and servitude to the State in exchange for their land grants. Lords and vassals were the equivalent of Dem party mayors. They were State bureaucrats. They confiscated food from the workers, leaving them just enough to survive. There was nothing capitalist about it.

I'll limit my reply to this observation and your one about feudalism/capitalism since they so well illustrate the depth of your mind. Of course it wasn't called classical liberalism then. The compositions of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven weren't called "classical music" until much later either since the word means long established or traditional and at the time of the Founders liberalism had never before been an operative political philosophy. The Constitution broke new ground in national government. Similarly, theories of capitalism first developed in the 19th Century can't be sensibly transported to medieval Europe.

You denied that liberalism used to mean small limited gov't. Now, you know that it did. And that now it means the opposite, ... socialism.

You can't compare the orwellian change to the definition of "liberalism" to changes in music. The fact is that the Leftists have completely changed the definition of the word liberalism. Why do you still deny that?

That's right, because medieval monarchial Europe was socialist. The State owned everything including its subjects. Laborers/workers are part of the means of production.

The far left loons are losing daily...at the Supreme Court and in the court of public opinion.

One million plus voters change parties to the Republican Party.

Spin that.

Sorry to repeat myself but it needs to be said.

Using public funds to pay tuition to "Christian" schools is flat out stealing, not to mention child abuse.

Puhleeze :palm:

Socialism means you work for the State. You are a slave of the State. It has absolutely nothing to do with classical liberalism. In Orwellian fashion, the democrats have redefined the word 'liberal'.

In the world of FDR, it means war, and individual dependence on the State, and handing over your hard earned money to the State under the threat of imprisonment or death. The average American is a slave to the State for the first 4 months of the year.

Is this why democrats label parents as a domestic terrorist group?
