A TV actress was arrested in Arkansas Friday in connection with ricin-laced letters sent to President Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The arrest of Shannon Rogers Guess Richardson, 38, initially reported by NBC News, comes two weeks after Richardson contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation claiming that her husband, Nathan Richardson, had sent the letters last month to Obama, Bloomberg and Mark Glaze, head of a gun control organization co-founded by Bloomberg.

Richardson, a 33-year-old Army veteran, was questioned by the FBI last week. He has been married to Guess, a former Dallas beauty queen, since 2011. Mrs. Richardson, a mother of five, has had minor roles in cable TV series The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries.

She contacted the FBI after finding a suspicious substance in her refrigerator and ricin-related Internet searches on the couple's computer. But NBC reported that investigators said she had sent the letters.

If she is, the articles I read didn't say so. I don't know if she had more motivation than just messing with her husband or why she chose Bloomberg.

Dammit there are rules. tekkychick gets a pass because she's new (well and she's a woman). Men on the board know better. When the article says former Dallas beauty queen someone needs to post photos. Pics or GTFO!

Found an article which quotes the note that was with the ricin; it said "“You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns,” the message sent to Bloomberg read, according to NBC New York, which obtained a copy of the letter. “Anyone who wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die.”"

So, um, blaming it on gun rights advocates would be logical. HOWEVER - I don't know if she was one or if she was just trying to divert attention from herself.

She did have five sons, so that could make anyone crazy....... (JOKE JOKE JOKE)

I was thinking the same, if it was her and she was trying to frame or blame it on her husband that gun statement sounds like something a man would say not a woman.

Correctamundo. She may not be a teabagger, but she's as crazy as one...

Guess has been married three times. [10]
Guess married Nathan Richardson, an army veteran, on December 3, 2011. In May 2013, while going through a divorce with Richardson, Guess called the police and made the accusation that Richardson had mailed ricin to politicians.[11][12]
As of June 1, 2013, Nathan Richardson has not been charged with any crime.[13][14][15] Richardson told investigators that Guess set him up.[16] Investigators found that Shannon Richardson mailed the ricin herself, in an effort to set up her estranged husband.[17][18][19]
Guess has five sons, ranging in age from 4 to 19;[20] none are fathered by Richardson.[21][22] As of June 2013, Guess is currently pregnant.[23] Her oldest son, 19-year-old[24] Branden Guess said that Shannon Guess was paranoid that she was being poisoned with ricin by Richardson.[25]
Shannon Rogers Guess Richardson was arrested on June 7, 2013 for alleged connections with ricin laced letters to politicians including Barack Obama and Mayor Michael Bloomberg.[26][27]
Guess lives in New Boston, Texas.
