In 2015, when researchers Anne Case and Angus Deaton discovered that death rates had been rising dramatically since 1999 among middle-aged white Americans, they weren't sure why people were dying younger, reversing decades of longer life expectancy.

Now the husband-and-wife economists say they have a better understanding of what's causing these "deaths of despair" by suicide, drugs and alcohol.

I understand why they're doing it; they've been sold snake oil for 40 years by Conservatives that if we just cut taxes for the rich and corporations, did away with regulations, harassed POC, attacked immigrants, and passed restrictive women's health bills, magically these underachieving white people will succeed. Now they're not seeing the success that Conservatives have promised them, and are taking the lazy man's way out of offing themselves instead of improving themselves.

Economic growth has been higher than any time during the Obama administration. Average GDP Obama = 1.5% Under Trump it has been 2.3%. For you math challenged morons on the left that is .8% better than Obama and trump has only been in office for 16 months.

DOW when Trump was elected: 19,827.25 Current DOW: 24,796.53. That would be a gain in slightly over a year of 4,969 point you math challenged moron.

Oil prices are no higher than they were during Obama's presidency. At the peak, they were around $4 a gallon.
