Ask Damo

Psychos exist. The numbers tell the tale: If there's a 1 in a Million annual chance that someone will be murdered then, in a population of 330 Million, there will be 330 murders per year. All you and I have to worry about is that we aren't one of them. LOL

His insanity limited him in his ability to reason in that area. He took a lot of precautions but made several mistakes. Previously, I'd theorized that he'd done this before such as killing a bum on the street or a neighbor's cat, but all of his mistakes indicates it was his first time. The trial in 18-24 months will reveal all.

Ashleigh Banfield is hot.
I think he may have done it before. Doubt a first time serial killer would take on 4 people? The dog was spared. Wonder if this is because he is a fanatical vegan?

The mistakes were almost childish. The stalking and casing of the area months prior to the killing. Leaving the knife sheath with DNA, a smoking gun. So many dumb errors. The police were onto him within 16 days after the crime.

Why will it take so long to get this to trial?

Did you know that Owl snitches more than you? Two Karens trying to control what others say on an obscure political site.
Dear Dumbass; I'm accused of being the biggest "snitch" on the forum. Why should I care about who is #2?

I SAW that. To be honest, I feel sorry for his mom. I would want to commit suicide were I in her shoes.

It would be hard. She has to think of her two daughters, Bryan's older sisters, Amanda and Melissa, and possible grandkids. https://conandaily.com/2023/01/02/m...out-chestnuthill-township-pennsylvania-woman/

Like the other nutjobs who committed mass murders, they probably feel guilty about knowing something wasn't quite right with Bryan but didn't know what to do.

It's certainly a possibility but he made a lot of rookie mistakes.

Exactly. He strikes me as a newbie. I wonder what made him crack?

1.5-2 years is about average for a big case. Happening within a year is rarer. Most end up as pleas. This is such a big case that I doubt the DA is in the mood to offer a plea deal. Maybe just taking the Death Penalty off the table, no parole, would be enough.

The prosecution never wants to go to trial. They want to put him on ice in an Idaho jail without clothes or a bed. He'll cop a plea and save the families a lot of grief.

If he pleads guilty can he avoid the DP?

One girl's dad is dead set wanting him to get death.

Now they have his DNA, maybe he will be tied to other unsolved crimes. I think he targeted one or more of those girls, for some reason. We probably won't know for a long time but I bet that is it. He was probably obsessed and one of them rejected him.

I thought the Idaho police were a bunch of Barney Fife's but I was pleasantly surprised at the great work they did with the FBI. That was one impressive affidavit.

Are you saying he will be denied a lawyer?

Personally, I doubt his parents can afford a lawyer. They've already gone bankrupt twice. I doubt a third trip is in their retirement planning.

He'll talk with shrinks and may prove to be a schizo. Since he didn't use a gun, maybe the Democrats won't care. LOL

People say he thinks he is the smartest person in the room, which is clearly not the case. He waived the extradition trial because he said he wanted to get back to Idaho to clear things up and get exonerated!

I don't think that psycho is going to plead guilty.

All 20 years of Law & Order have taught me is that it depends upon the state and the jurisdiction. He'll have to confess everything including previous, if any, murders or crimes.

No doubt most of the parents would want to see Bryan publicly hanged.

Another reason for a trial to take a while, all the investigating to see if there are other crimes. The DA wants a thorough investigation, and the Defense wants time to develop an insanity defense.

Agreed, it was a good response. Notice how the Feds were tracking him as a suspect while they developed evidence?

He's allowed his day in court. We'll have to watch to see how much he talks before getting there. Those who think they are the smartest person in the room like to brag about what they did.

Tell me this, after all is said and done, like either he pleads out or goes through a trial, will more of the case details be available to the public? There are many unanswered questions. People are ragging on the survivor roommates because they didn't call 911 but I am sure there is more to the story not being shared with the public for obvious reasons.

I really feel sorry for those poor girls. Cannot imagine.

Yes. I have no doubt there will be a book like "Helter Skelter" and a movie; either TV-made or for major release. People love a good psycho story. LOL

Part of the answer is a "mind your own business" culture, IMO. Another is that they were young and not trained to fight. I doubt the roommate was on a sports team. I'm a fan of Occam's Razor in a situation like this, not a daytime soap opera.

If there is a trial I will be glued to that. I got hung up on the Depp trial last year.

You wouldn't believe the people trashing the poor roommates online. They were just kids living in a party house. If the one girl really saw the killer walk back she was probably so terrified to even move for hours. It will all come out eventually I'm sure.

Bryan's trial, if there is one, will be a lot more interesting than watching a marital spat.

People can be cruel and too susceptible to Monday morning quarterbacking. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Part of her reaction can be blamed on her dad for not training her. She could easily have been victim #5.
