i watched a documentary tonight about the assassination of dr tiller - a doctor that used to perform legal abortions

imo, operation rescue and its fellow travelers did its best to assassinate dr tiller by encouraging the assassin by referring to dr tiller as a baby killer and various other overheated rhetoric

the practice of publishing the name, address, description, make and model of their car with license plate number of various abortion providers along with names of their family members including phone number(s) - basically hoping that someone will assassinate one or all

the information provided includes descriptions of the dr and the drs family members and their places of employment or schools

wanted posters of the drs are published on the internet

the hope as always is that some nut job will take up the gauntlet and perform the assassination that the operation rescue people et. al., are unwilling to do themselves

I have often wondered what the outcry would be if bomb threats were called into prolife family planning clinics, or if explosives were set off outside of them and prochoice advocates hung outside and screamed at the people as they went in. The outrage would be palpable. But those tactics are fine for the prolifers. You very rarely even hear a major evangelist denounce the murder of men and women like Dr Tiller. Hell, mostly, the only time you hear anyone on the right denounce it is when someone on the left calls them for not denouncing it.
