since the right wing has no problem with assassinating abortion doctors, will they try assassinating obama

the very thought of this has had me frightened for quite a while

the whole gop 'he is not one of us' campaign is down right racist and very scary

angry older white males seem to comprise a large part of the gop base and they are well armed

the whole 'lets take back our country' is code for not wanting a nig... in the white house

if or when obama wins, how hard would it be for a cabal to form to assassinate him

i can only hope that the secret service is really on their toes

yes, i am scared and freely admit it

it would just about destroy our nation

The horrible thought has crossed my mind more than not. The level of craziness in our country since a black man was elected president is scary beyond belief. I have confidence the Secret Service is aware of those wishing death to our president.

We've managed to go more than 30 years since someone nearly assasinated a president. This includes the Bush years, and almost all of Obama's term. In fact, the problem has become so rare, there have actually been more abortion doctors murdered in this timeframe.

I think I expected someone to take a shot at George W more than I expect someone to go after Obama. There were a LOT of people calling for bush's assasination.

In fact, we had one fruitloop here who said enough to get the attention of the federal authorities.
 
Obama's supporters should worry about any assassination attempt coming from within their own ranks of the radical left that feel that Obama has lied to them more than anyone from the right...A quick look at assassinations in the past would lead them to most being carried out by the left.

Don makes an ignorant point with his small minded attempt at flaming the right on this board, and deserves to be roundly mocked for his stupid, asinine thread.

The thing to take from this is that in a scenario where Obama can't run on his record. He can't run an honest campaign, and he is about to be tossed out of office soundly by an American public that sees through this type of bull shit. All the liberals can do is generalize, and cry that he is only being defeated because he is a black man...What a stupid premise.

This reminds me of a joke from years ago.

When Clinton was running against Pres. George H. Bush and Dan Quayle, a friend of mine was dating a Secret Service agent. He said that the joke amongst the agents on Bush's detail was if anything happened the president, they were to shoot Quayle immediately.
 
You know what I would be more scared of than someone from the right attempting to assassinate Obama? Someone from the wacko left doing it! I think there is a FAR greater chance of THAT happening, to be honest. Think about it from a psychological standpoint, the right already knew how Obama would be, and what to expect, it comes as no shocker to them that Obama is exactly like they imagined he would be. Juxtapose this with the massive disillusionment the liberal left is faced with. Here's the man who was supposed to usher in a new day for liberalism, the answer to all their problems, the dream finally came true... and what has Obama delivered? Are liberals satisfied with him? Is this what they expected or thought would happen? Which is more likely to 'snap' and do something insane? The people who are getting exactly what they anticipated and expected, or the people who are getting just the opposite of what they expected?

Yeah, you should indeed be scared of something like this happening, but not by a person on the right.
 
Hell, of the last three presidential assassins, only one was right wing, and that was 1901. Oswald was a communist and Hinkley was obsessed over a Hollywood liberal who wished death upon Reagan. Leon Czolgosz was an anarchist.
 
Also, the guy who tried to shoot President-Elect FDR was just a crazy Wop immigrant who was suffering from an appendectimy, a bad gall bladder, alcohol use to self-medicate his pains, and was basically losing his mind. He did famously say "pusha da button" when they asked if he had anything to say before his execution (he missed FDR but killed the mayor of Chicago and hit five other bystanders), which is still the swiftest in US history (Oh, yeah, and he hated capitalists).

do you deny that the abortion doctor assassinations were done by right wing hate filled white men?

what concerns me is the level of hate spewed by the right wing at obama or do you deny that also

i would be quite happy if this nation never had another assassination or assassination attempt
