I'm interested in talking about the maniacal behaviour. Teaching children to believe in sky fairies sadly goes far past that. It's child abuse.

But it's not your fault. The reason many reasonably intelligent people can never escape religious indoctrination is the same reason a baby duckling will imprint on a fox for it's mother. You were indoctrinated at an early age and it's likely going to stay with you for the rest of your life.

And yet it has been going on for thousands of years. I don't believe in "sky fairies". Why do you, and it is obvious you do or why the definition of spiritual beings as such?

Unfortunately so will your atheist beliefs just as they have with millions of evil people. in reality, Trump probably shares more of your beliefs then you would like to admit. As fr made, I was raised Catholic, rejected that belief in HS, then went on a search for the truth. Took me about 12 years studying the different religions rejecting all. So, here I am now believing in Christ as He is, not as some preacher tells me he is. My Church is the world with special places in the forest. My communion is with anyone that wishes to participate. I deny no one any request they may make of me as long as I can afford it, and it does not violate my principles many of which are found in the scriptures of Christ. When I die I will be cremated, and my ashes spread in the same creek as my last two dogs.

Should I say more? I don't think so for I can see you are not of a Spirit that welcomes instruction, or the ability to seek truth.

BTW, I gave not filed a tax return of any type since 1976. Is the government bilking me out of the money it owes me

I'm sure you understand Hedges' assertion is that all that is left is gathering in the streets, non-cooperation, non-participation and civil disobedience. And that the system is unable to correct itself.

depending on what he means. Gathering in the streets or civil disobedience all the way to gun violence would be my prediction. Then a repairing of the system becoming necessary. Then an awakening by the people that demands the system be corrected.

The creation of your kind of attitude toward Russia/Putin is the worst part of what Trump has done to your country. Russia can't be stopped from being a global competitor and neither can China. That's the biggest reason why Trump has to be stopped. He will be but how long will it take to repair relations with Russia?

Anything Russia/Putin is doing that effects the US is completely defensive. The US is the aggressor that is trying to destroy Russia. Nearly 40 US wars of aggression since WW2 alone!

All I'm really interested is the end of Trump. The Democrats have demonized Russia/Putin in order to show collusion and election meddling by Russia. It's certainly true by the looks of it at some level but it's nothing that hasn't been going on long before Trump. Both the US and Russia actively meddle in each other's country's elections.

It's extremely damaging to the chances of world peace and it must be dialed back. When Trump is gone, it likely will be, or at least to normal levels.

However, we all should be able to understand that in a competitive global economy all nations are going to compete using brutal measures. And the large and powerful nations will be the winners in the end result. China, US, Russia, India, Brazil, and others will flex their economic muscles. So far, all are using peaceful means except the US. The US will find itself singled out as the common enemy, that will have a bad effect on Americans, and there will be threats of war. Thank the gods for MAD. (mutually assured destruction)
