Automatic voter registration?

We should limit voting to Democrats.

He distinctly said people who actually pay taxes.

Why aren't voters automatically registered to vote when they turn 18? Or at least automatically registered when they get their drivers license? What's the point of even bothering voters with voter registration forms? Is there some major reason I'm overlooking? This just seems common sense.

That the great thing about democracy in a free society. Every one has the right to choose. Not saying that we have anything like a free society in America.
