Axelrod suggests Biden drop out of 2024 presidential race

I was under the impression Biden was elected to be a one term caretaker after four years of the Trump nightmare?!! Biden should swallow his pride and step a side for someone else?!! It's not looking good for him as of right now, the young, blacks, and Muslims voters are souring on Biden.

I would like to see younger candidates for president for both parties. Trump is old as Biden and not very sharp/smart and he could not do the job as president either?!!

Biden's VP running for president is out of the question too?!! Biden picked the wrong black woman for VP, Susan Rice would have been a better and more capable choice for VP and she could run for president too?!!

Former Obama senior adviser David Axelrod on Sunday suggested President Biden drop out of the 2024 presidential race in the wake of a new poll showing the incumbent trailing former President Trump.

Pointing to a New York Times and Siena College poll published on Sunday, Axelrod wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, ” It’s very late to change horses; a lot will happen in the next year that no one can predict & Biden’s team says his resolve to run is firm.”

Arguing Biden is “justly proud of his accomplishments,” Axelrod said Biden’s poll numbers will “send tremors of doubt” through the Democratic Party.

“Not ‘bed-wetting,’ but legitimate concern, Axelrod wrote.

“Trump is a dangerous, unhinged demagogue whose brazen disdain for the rules, Normas, laws and institutions or democracy should be disqualifying,” Axelrod “But the stakes of miscalculation here are too dramatic to ignore.”

The poll found Biden trailing Trump in five out of six battleground states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania by margins of 3 to 10 percentage points among registered voters. In Wisconsin, Biden was ahead by two percentage points, according to the poll.

The poll’s findings serve as a major blow to Biden’s campaign after the incumbent carried all six states in 2020 when up against Trump, The New York Times reported.

Biden’s reelection campaign has been faced with growing concerns from voters within his own party over his age and policy actions on various issues, notably the economy.

The poll found that 71 percent of registered voters said they agree to some degree that Biden is “just too old to be an effective president” while only 39 percent said the same about Trump.

Screw you kenny, brandon is YOUR man, ride him like a rented pony.

He 100% should.

Both sides need to realize that their current leading candidates are TOO polarizing. Neither side will accept a loss.

That might be true regardless, but a Haley/Newsom kind of race would be much less dangerous for America.

The chances that the Revolution will take their foot off the gas are zero....they know only doubling down.

Trump is the same age as Biden was when he was appointed to the pResidency.

You go back a few years and a lot of people voted FOR Obama. They genuinely liked him.

Stating the obvious here but in 2020 there weren’t a whole lot of people saying “I’m FOR Joe Biden”. There were a lot of people saying “I don’t want Trump” and Biden was the candidate people coalesced around to do that.

And yes, he was sold as a transitional President. As we’ve seen with Senators, it’s not easy to give up power. Especially arguably the most powerful position on Earth. And now he’s being viewed in a different light and it’s far less positive.

Hopefully Trump will be convicted and sent to prison before the election?!!

I doubt trump will ever see the inside of a prison cell. He'll have to pay a find and do community service. It's fun to think about - no doubt trump deserves prison for the coup attempt and stolen documents cases, but I'm tired of being disappointed.

I'm white,
a hard core core leftist on fiscal if not social issues,
have no problem with the genocide of jihadist Muslims,
and am not too happy with Southern Blacks who are afraid of real progressives, either [Fuck you, Jim Clyburn].

I am fully prepared to suck it up and vote for Biden again,
but I too would be delighted if he stepped aside.

It would be the right thing to do,
but the black fucking church ladies still love him.
