Barack Obama threatens to withdraw support from wavering Democrats

If my Congressman were not going to vote for this bill, I would not support him in the next election.

It may or may not be the agenda of all Democrats, I cannot presume to speak for all Democrats. But it is indeed the agenda of the Democratic Party. If you want support from the party, support the party's agenda on the big things. This is one of the big things.

it cracks me up to see some people claim democrats don't march in lockstep like repubs...yet here you, jarod and watermark are all claiming they should

You're welcome. It seems entirely unremarkable to me that the president would refuse to campaign for someone that actively works to undermine his agenda. I don't get it.

I just find it funny that he would think it was a "threat"...

Having Obama show up for your campaign has so far proven to be a death knell, not a boon.

So far the only one who won was the one congressperson that he didn't campaign for in NY. Yeah, I'd avoid him. He was out here for Bennett and he dropped like a rock in the polls, now Romanov is almost even with him in the primary polling...

I would not be witholding my support because he did not support the Democratic platform, I would be witholding my support because he did not support something very important that I belive in, the health care bill.
