The only beans America grows are the expensive Hawaiian Kona beans. Those are normally so pricey that they are sold as blends with cheaper beans.Coffee prices haven’t surged this much in decades
Retail coffee prices in the United States in August jumped nearly 21% compared to the same month last year — the largest annual jump since October 1997, according to the latest Consumer Price Index, released Thursday. On a monthly basis, coffee prices rose 4%, the most in 14 years.
Coffee drinkers have President Donald Trump’s tariffs to blame, in part. The United States is largest importer of coffee in the world and it relies on foreign countries for the beans, given there are very few places it can grow domestically. Nearly all – 99% – of coffee consumed in the United States is imported, according to the National Coffee Association.

Yep that is $7.50 a pound and it was about $3,33 a pound last Jan an increase of about 125%Boy, that coffee I just had was freakin' great!

$ 9.99 for a 42 oz can in Jan and about $22.00 a can now.
Maybe it Trump keeps going he can get it up to $15.00 a pound , it is already about $ 7,50 a pound now.
Watch out for sales... there are lots and lots of them... (No one pays twenty two dollars for a forty two ounce can of generic coffee... I'm going to try to find that can and write those people a letter....)Yep that is $7.50 a pound and it was about $3,33 a pound last Jan an increase of about 125%

Well i'm writing a letter to Folgers After I do a little research....Who said it was " Generic "? it is Folgers.
Sales and shopping wise , as most people do. don't bring the prices back down to where they were before Trump put his super high tariffs on things. and they all haven't worked their way through the supply chain yet.
tariffs DO have a place and can do some good IF they are reasonable , Trumps tariffs aren't reasonable.
5 or even 10% would be reasonable but 50, 60, 75, 100% or more and not reasonable.
The point is stupid it was about $3.33 a pound last Jan and is now about $7.00 a pound and still going up an increase of over 100% in less then 10 months thanks to Trump and his high tariffs., a lot of low income working people can NOT afford increases like these and will have to cut back on things because Trump is driving up the cost of about everything they need to buy to survive.
